Great mud tyres
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged
"Great tyre, works great in deep mud, cuts through top layer of mud and grips on more solid surface underneath. Rolls well on tarmac and still gives lots of grip in frozen mud and trails. Only negative which is slight they tend to lock up under braking on tarmac if used for rear tyre"

Fire Mud Pro for wet winter riding
Pros: Great Value, Rugged, Good Fit
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"I love these tyres ever since a fellow TFB rider switch me onto these. We ride in the Surrey hills which are often wet and chalky but with these babies on you have traction all the way - I even use them in the summer great"

Panaracer Fire XC Mud
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"A gread mud tyre - rolls fast and very grippy. Have this on the rear and a Trailraker on the front. Seems to work in the snow too! Wish the Red ASB band was black though."

Ideal for small bikes
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
"Purchase these in place of Bontrager Mud in order to reduce standover height on my wife's bike. Small size but certainly from the first try in very muddy conditions last week they performed well. Not so controllable as the Bonty's and obviously a smaller size although the ASB chaffer does offer additional protection from punctures. Cost wise slightly dearer than Maxxis Medusa 1.8's but they don't have the sidewall protection. My wife is not an agressive rider but initial impressions are they are fit for the purpose they were purchased for."

Fabulous all round x country tyres
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Versatile
"These Panaracer Fire Mud Pro tyres shed mud quickly, offer great stability and best of all roll really well on theat horrible tarmac you sometimes need to get to the trails. It's either the tyres or my superior weight advantage that make me quickest on the downhills. Slightly on the dear side but the last set lasted 4 years - probably 5000 miles (??) si I should have said 5 stars for value! I'm not sure they are the lightest tyre out there and for very rocky terrain tend to slip more than a specific tyre. Recommended for winter single track and also fine for dusty summer trails."

Excellent mud tire
"The tire works well in the 1.8 size as a specific mud or snow tire. It is not well suited to other uses, but a great thing to have if you are facing a ride or race in deep mud or snow."

Panaracer Mud Tyres
Pros: High Quality
Cons: Expensive
"These are great MTB tyres with enough grip for really sticky stuff - yet not too heavy going on road or dry trail. They seem to last reasonably well too. The 1.8" ones work best on mixed trail conditions and I use them all year round"
