Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Great Value, Rugged, Versatile
"I desperately wanted to try clipless pedals but wanted the option of using normal shoes as well. This is primarily because I occasionally attach a child seat to my bike and was scared of forgetting to unclip with a baby on the back.
Of course their not as good as normal flats as the clip does push into your foot slightly when using trainers but you get used to it and I have riden many miles with trainers on.
As a beginner to the realm of clipless I also like the fact that if you don't manage to clip in straight away you can still ride fairly easily."

First set of SPD
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"I recently made the decision to step up to SPD pedals after a long time on flats. However as I can only afford to run one bike I needed pedals that couldbe used on flats for my short (2 mile) commute to work.
After looking around on the web I decided on these, as the resin cage is supposed to be better when hit that the metal ones.
They are very esy to fit, and to adjust, ( as a starter I slacked off all the springs to let me get out really easily).
With normal shoes on they are still out comfortable, but you can feel the clip under your foot. They are fine for shorts rides to shops or for short commutes.
With cleated shoes these feel great. I have found that I can put power down better, I get power on the upstroke, without even thinking about it. I am finding the fact that my feet don;t slip of the pedals has increased confidence dramatically, and given a real boost to my bike control and enjoyment.
The only down side is the the resin cage has taken a little bit of a beating as I have learnt to clip in, but it is mainly cosmetic."

Great first SPD pedal option
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, easy to use
"With an approaching 100mile run i decided to make the leap into SPD pedals. I had never tried them before as most shops don't carry shoes in my size (12 -12) but i am glad i did it.
These pedal are very secure and easy to clip into from the start but they also have the benefit of a cage around the mechanism to use normal shoes instead.
Having said that the cage is narrower than most MTB pedals so if your feet are particularly large it will not be feel as secure as your previous pedal. But they are wider than the platforms some pedals rely on.
The ride was completed and i will not be going back to regular pedals!"

All good for new clip in pedal user
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Adjustable, Lightweight
"Seem OK so far, although I have only used them once and am still nervous of my first fall :) A friend has these pedals and loves them partly for the flexibility to wear normal shoes if just travelling short distances.
Just wanted to let people know that the pedals include cleats so don't purchase another set (maybe I am not the only one silly enough to do this, but just in case).
Cheers"

Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
"I picked thede pedals mainly on price as i did not want to overspend on my novice ability. They fit easily on the bike and I like the adjustable tension as I had never ridden with cleats before. The only downside was that I ordered a set of cleats that I didn"t need as the pedals come with their own (doesn't tell you that on the net) .Hardly cause for complaint though-well pleased with these pedals."

first time with SPD pedals
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Rugged
"i must admit that I was a little concerned about changing to SPD pedals. However, after using these for a few weeks, i would not be without them. Before using, I would recommend loosening them (as much as possible) as this will make it easier to get your shoe in - and (more importantly) easier to get your shoe out. Easy to use with normal shoes if you are going on an easy ride with the kids. very good!"

Excellent Clipless Pedals
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"I got these as I started using the bike for work so wanted something a bit more 'pro' than plastic clips. After some initial clipping in out as practive, the first thing I did was fall over (as expected in front of a large amount of people...) However, after getting used to the pedals I wouldn't go back, they are fantastic, easy to clip in and out of and I get extra power when riding. Bonus is also that due to the plastic cage my girlfriend can still ride my bike without needing SPD shoes. Brilliant bit of kit, highly reccomended!"

Great Buy
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"Excellent pedals for a nice price. Great to clip into if out for a serious ride or weekend riding with the kids where trainers sit on top of the pedals for ease of stop starting. They look good too!"

Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
"Excellent product strong and versatile and easy to use, if they're your first clip in pedals they take some getting used to but as long as you disengage your feet before you stop you'll be fine which I've failed to do few times lol."

Value pedals
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Bulky
"Good value pedals for those who need to feel that they have a wide platform to hang to on difficult terrain. Also good if you also use the bike in town with regular shoes. A bit heavier than other clipless pedals though."

Good product
Pros: Durable, Rugged, Adjustable
"I use these on my Flat Bar bike.
They are great in the fact that if you go over slippery ground you can unclip and still ride and when you feel safe push down and clip back in. Even better when going to the pub with normal shoes!!
Great peddles would recommend

Decent pedals for the money
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Rugged, Adjustable
"I bought these for my 9 year old son, who races triathlon, and the occasional cycle-x and track race. After reducing the pre-tension from the factory setting (I guess they're set for an adult), he's been really pleased with them.
Unlike full road cleats, these seem to work fine when there's a bit of mud around, and he doesn't find any problems getting clipped in.
They also look smart on the bike, and provide a flat platform on the rare occasions that he wants to cycle in trainers.

Take Care
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
"Good product but take care to adjust the tension setting to its lowest and work upwards. The tension setting as delivered was high and it was very hard to cleat out. I had to take my boots off first."

Excellent budget / starter purchase
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
"We bought these as a first clip in pedal and they have been absolutely superb. Easy to clip in and out, and with the plastic pedal bed they are not too heavy either. Easy to adjust the spring tension as well. As noted they can be used without cleats for short rides (ie just with trainers). Used a lot off road, mostly in drier conditions / stoney river beds (not too much mud over here in summer, so cant comment on use in thick clayey clag) So good, we bought a second set to use on a a hybrid bike as well."

Sturdy, but not most accurate machining
Pros: Rugged, Adjustable, Versatile
Cons: Bulky, Low Quality, Poor Fit
"I've had these pedals with matching Shimano SPD cleated shoes for a few weeks now. They clip and unclip nicely, and this would be adjustable if they didn't. They'll fit any standard SPD cleat.
The plastic cage that lets you use them as normal pedals is a nice idea, but in practice the mechanism stands too proud of the plastic to be comfortable for anything other than a mile or half-mile into town. If your ankles aren't too strong (mine are hypermobile) you're constantly feel like your feet are going to slip off outwards.
After a couple of weeks my left cleat has started to make a noise at the point of moving from push-down to pull-up or vice versa: it goes "clack" on the way up if I use the mechanism on one side of the pedal; it occasionally makes a quacky creaking noise if I flip the pedal over and use that mechanism, when I push down instead. The suggestion on internet forums is that at least the former is just incorrect machining size: there's a gap between the bottom of my shoe cleat and the base of the mechanism, and it all clacks together when I pull up. Which feels a little bit shoddy, to be honest.
All in all they're quite rugged, and this noise is meant to be of little harm from what I can research, so it feels like they might last the winter - I've no idea yet! - but I'm less certain that they're going to be rideable in a year's time."

Good durable pedal
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged, High Quality
"This is a good pedal to use both SPD cleats and normal shoes. Great to have the option of not using cleats for short rides or when riding with your kids and need to stop start a lot. You can feel the cleat adapter with normal shoes. It is not uncomfortable, but you can feel it there. These are great pedals, have them on my Hybrid and my wifes Hybrid"
