Panaracer Pasela TG City Tyre

Its center ridge rolls over broken pavement and works on dirt roads as well. A multitude of sizes and configurations make finding the proper size a breeze. An excellent value for commuting or touring cycling. Tourguard is an Aramid fiber belt placed under the tread to improve puncture resistance without increasing tyre weight or sacrificing performance.

Fast rolling touring tyre
Pros: High Quality, fast rolling
"A great pair of tyres - fast rolling and pretty puncture resistant - only 1 flat in a year. Sidewalls are supple and they feel great inflated in the middle of their recommended range. Sidewalls don't look as tough as other touring tyres such as the Schwalbe Marathon, but this is a much lighter tyre that will feel a lot more spritely on the road. Plus you get those great retro tan sidewalls. Great grippy compound and a fantastic rounded profile means superb cornering. Tan sidewalls get discoloured easily with brake detritus, but it's not a biggie. I bought the 35mm and it's a great allrounder, equally at home on the road and the towpath."

Great all round tyre
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Good Fit
"I have used Panaracer Pasela tour guard tyres for several years now for commuting and training and find them to be very good in all areas. Bikes used include Airnimal Chameleon, Brian Rourke Race bike and most recently a Marin Toscana. I live in rural Devon and ride on a combination of fair to poor road surfaces with mainly wet tarmac throughout the winter months. The tyres give good grip and great puncture resistance. The life span is also impressive. My ride home three times a week is fourteen hilly miles and I get about two years on a rear and about six months longer on a front."

Looks the business on vintage road bike
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
"I wanted some white/tan/gum wall tyres for my 1976 Stan Pike road bike. When I looked around there wasn't much choice.
These had great reviews and they look good.
Pumped up nice and hard they roll really well.
Get some."

look good
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Gotta say that these might be good looking and have stood the test of time on tarmac and even succeeded on the strada bianca of L'Eroica. BUT the walls are very thin and cannot be taken off road without running the risk of punctures. Had 3 in 1 day on both front and back. Be warned.
You pay for what you get i guess. I have only had them for a couple of months so cannot be too judge mental. Not a touring tyre which is where i got my punctures.

A benchmark tyre
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality
"I wanted a tyre to replace the continental gatorskin which was good but wore too quickly and then started to pick up flats. I had tried the 26 inch version of the Pasela on an mtb a few years ago and had been impressed, So I fitted the 28c to my commuter. Grip and puncture resistance are excellent. After 2000 miles the tyres only have moderate wear. I estimate around 6500 in total if I swap front and rear around compared to 4500 for the gatorskins. Weight is not bad aided by the thin but flexible side wall which also makes these one of the most comfortable tyres I've used. Convinced I was on to a good thing I fitted the 25c on my Charge Juicer and it has beena good call, complementing the steel frame perfectly. The only downside is that they are not quite as fast as some (I choose Continental Grand Prix for that) but for everyting else they are great, highly recommended."

"Bit higher price than I normally pay for tyres, but very easy rolling and the look of the tan sidewall really suits my old tourer!"

My favourite tyre for lightweight dayrides
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight
"This tyre gives good handling, is lightweight and gives a comfortable ride over long distances. The inherent drawback is that the supple lightweight tyre-walls do appear to be more prone than average to sidewall punctures. These sidewall punctures, unless relatively small, do tend to lead to the early-retirement of the tyre ( for safety reasons ).
I'm suspect that this aspect cannot be improved without significantly altering the beneficial characteristics of the tyre.
I continue to buy them.

Panracer Pasela tyres
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"A good lightweight tyre and long lasting. The only punctures that I have incured is, glass and one side wall hawthorn .(What tyre can be resistant to glass and roll easily and be light weight). I can`t recall having a problem with road holding except with oil."

Puncturacer
Pros: Versatile
Cons: easily puncture
"I've never had such a bad spell of punctures as i've had with these, have given up on them and back to COnti Gators.
I thought the thicker tread would be a good idea for winter and also reduce punctures but although grip was good, punctures were terrbile."

Needed to fit mudguards for winter
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"Couldn't get mudguards over my 700-25's so I bought these 700-23's with grip for winter.
Obviously ride the is a bit harder but they seem to roll better than the 700-25's and where there was winter mud on the road, they seemed to grip very well indeed.
I am very impressed so probably won't go back to the 700-25's next Spring

Lightweight commuter
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight
"Good tyre, the sidewalls are quite thin which is likely to be why they are so light. Tread is great for bitumen riding and grips well."

Good tyres
Pros: Durable, High Quality
"Ran this tyre all last winter - through ice, snow and everything else. Very good grip, I was the only one that could get up a 20% gradient on snow and ice due to exceptional grip offered by these tyres. Not had a puncture yet either."

Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality
"I bought these tyres to go onto Black rims that I was putting on my Surly Steamroller-
Purchased mainly on the basis of looks-
I have since found that they are a comfortable and hard wearing -
( over 1000 Klm's on rough Australian roads and still look like new- with zero punctures)
And although when thinking about tyres the name Panasonic is not the first brand that spings to mind , I cannot fault these -

Classic Looks Modern Performance

Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Versatile
"If you have a classic road bike that needs quality original looking tyres then these are ideal. For an arduous 205km part off-road race known as L'Eroica I needed tyres to resist punctures, cope with high speed road descents on damp roads while looking original. There are very few tyres to fit the bill and these performed admirably.
On damp alpine roads I was able to out-descend other competiotors, then with 20km to go a broken spoke had the back tyre rubbing against the chainstays, yet it resisted the abrasion and got me to the end of the race.
The weight is a bit heavier than racing tyres but far less than tourers. The sidewalls are nice and flexible with a grippy tread which can cope with rough off-road terrain and the price is spot on.

Tyres
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"After trawling the net I came across wiggle , my son buys loads frome wiggle . Came across a good selection gave me wth the tyre I was after . Fitting went well just one blow out slip until the wire bead gripped , which was on the fitting instruction, then all went well . I have done 200 miles tyre s still look good and have been very stable in extreme wet roads,
I am running a Boardman Hybryd so these are just the ticket ,

Comes in old sizes (inches)
Pros: comes in old fashioned size
"I have an old front wheel (27 1/4 inch rims) so I was pleased to find this product. I have not used these tyres yet, so I can't say whether they are durable but they look hardy. They appear to be good value but again I can't really say until I get some use out of them."
