"Great overall quality. The shifting is precise and the construction is sturdy.
The anatomical design is very user friendly. This aids for quick shifting without breaking stride and concentration to find your levers. Best of all, these shifters appear to be long lasting components. I now have a set of levers to put on my next bike which saves money."

"Bringing a Colnago Frame up to a better quality than when I bought it, both front and back gears Ultegra but with Tiagra shifters > needed Ultegra shifters and found them on Wiggle. Great find and a great price."

"To finish off my touer which I self built I picked these shifters/brakes. I'm glad that I did as they look the part and act the part too. They look much better than Tiagra or other 9 speed shifters available. They also work much better than these other options too.
They come with inner and outer cables and instructions to fit which are nice and easy to understand. I managed to fit them no problem, just do a good job of cutting the outer cable casings.
Worth the extra investment,"

"I can see little to choose between Ultegra & Dura Ace. I am not a racing cyclist so shaving off a few grams isn't that critical to me and certainly not worth the extra £100 or so. My beef with Shimano is that you have to buy the pair & as I was replacing a broken Dura Ace shifter I would have preferred to buy just the one or even better have had the broken one repaired which is I suppose another criticism. A product which costs £300 should be repairable. That said I am pleased with the quality & they work faultlessly."

"I have used Shimano shifters for many years. As a quality level, I have found the Ultegra range the best for price vs quality vs weight. They shift well and last well. Thus far, I have lost two shifters, one due to a broken internal spring and another to a broken pawl. These were very high mileage components and, given the usage, I am well satisfied.
The only downside is that they are complicated components and user servicing is difficult, if not impossible. Having said that, aside from the breakages mentioned, I have had no need to service them!"

Great to have Original Equipment

"These shift levers came as orignal equipment on my Cannondale touring bike. I used the previous pair for over 25000 miles until I crashed and beat them up pretty badly. They actually continued to function, but I decided to go with new ones since some bushings were starting to wear and the hoods were getting a bit old anyway. I use them on a 9 speed with a tripple up front and they work great."

"these levers are smooth, and ultra quick.
very solid to use always fills me with confidence, each shift is very quick and accurate which i like.
the hoods are comfortable and i have found that these are more comfortable to use when compared to other shimano levers.
these are worth the money and a great upgrade."
