"I bought this for locking the bike to the car bike rack, straight away the fat cable and bright orange bits with kyptonite writen on makes it look like a serious lock which will put off all but the most serious and well equipped scum bags.
In comparison Halfords sell something very very similar but slight more expensive(!) with 'Bikehut' writen on it..... which do you think will provide the best deterient??
Hopefully i will never have the claimed strength of the cable lock tested, but if i do i have complete confidence in it."

"Good quality, just the right length for me but I can see it being a bit short for others. It's long enough to fit from the bike rack where the rear wheel is positioned to the frame and back but my bike is small, might be a bit tight with bigger bikes?"

Great to lock the front wheel

"I got this cable extension to additionally lock the front wheel. I just lock the rear wheel and frame with my Kryptonite U lock to a pole and then I add this cable the the U lock.
The cable is probably not a big annoyance to a thief that really wants your bike but too much effort just to get the front wheel when the frame and back wheel are connected to a light pole with a serious lock."

"Ever seen a cheap cable lock cut in two? I have, lying alongside my bike with only one wheel. So now my bike and new wheel is protected by a solid D-lock and this chunky Kryptonite cable. This cable is easy to handle and is plastic-coated so it won't chip the paintwork on your frame. Take that, criminal underworld!"

"I'm using it with Onguard Mastiff 80cm Chain Bike Lock and Oxford Brute Force Anchor to keep my bike safe in the garden shed. I also used it with a padlock from that chain on rides. It has velcro with it that you could attach it to the frame and cycle with it. It will fit in the backpack as well. Very versatile."

Don't rely on it!
Cons: Poor Quality
"I bought one of these to secure my bike as the bike racks at our flats only secure the front wheel. I thought this would be a good product but, sure enough, only the front wheel remained the next day! Had to go to work on my girlfriends bike. Not good!
So, whilst this helps as added security, don't rely on it! It certainly didn't take long for the thieves to get through it.."
