Instant energy gel!

"I had always used SIS GO during Olympic distance triathlons, but needed something that could give me a kick and keep me going when I decided to start Ironman events. I chose this product as PowerBar were sponsoring the race and it is awesome. Some say it's rather sweet, but I find it to be fine. Take the gel and then wash it down with some water is what I've found to work best. The product gave me no stomach problems or stitch problems and so it works great for me. Would buy more.....and more!"

Very easy to use

"These gels are easy on the stomach and easy to swallow. I used these doing a Marathon and will certainly used them again. I would advise that you practice taking some though before the real deal. They could also be used on a bike or any other sporting discipline."

best from a bad bunch
"I am not a fan of gels but this tastes the best for me and works well.
The best thing is to try as many brands as you can and make your own choice as they all taste bad and it is getting the best one that suits your digestion and taste.
This one works for me.

Powerbar gel
"I'd tried the Powerbar bars in the past, and wasn't impressed, but these go down a fair bit easier. The consistency is a little thinner than another gel I had used recently, which also seems to work better for me sitting in my stomach. On the downside, I find it too difficult to easily get all of the gel out of the sachet. If you could take the time with two hands to slowly roll the sachet up from the bottom, you might manage it. But I'm mainly consuming these on a bike, and am thus limited to one hand only. Just scrunching the sachet up probably gets most of the gel out, but far from perfect."

Goes down easy
Pros: Great Value, not overly sweet, easy digestible
"Love power bar gels a lot. Especially with the C2max addition and the caffeine in it. I have used GU's before and found them too thick and felt sick and stomach cramps. None with powerbar gels though, takes sometime to get use it as with any gel, but these go well with a wash down of sports drink as well."

Love the taste - hate the packaging

"Ok, the product is great.
I love the tastes:

In the order I named them.
The gels are tasty, easy to eat, digest and I feel the boost they give me after 1-2 hours of riding and I never leave the house on my bike without 2 sachets of these for my + 100 km rides. Just having them with me gives me confidence that I'm not going to have a bloodsugar issue when going really hard.
Now there's just the problem with the packaging. If you're pedaling close to your threshold and your heart is pumping wildly, your trying to fill your lungs with air, the sweat is dripping and your hands are equally sweaty and maybe you even have a bit of sun lotion on them from scratching your arm or legs or wiping your forehead... and now you have to open up those sachets.
One-handed? FORGET ABOUT IT. You'll have to use both hands or your teeth. Now the little cut outs that are supposed to help you tear the sachet open are really just 2 mm deep.
WHY ???
You really have to focus to bite in the right place to get it open. With oily, sweaty hands really buggs me. I've dropped more than one sachet on group rides or races. Also the sachet is way to wide to allow you to squeeze it out with one hand.
I wonder why Powerbar has such poor packaging (also for their PowerBars). Almost EVERYBODY else in the GELS and BARS industry has better packaging.
Specially MuleBar Kicks gels and High5 have so much better packaging. Completely possible to easily handle with one single hand.
Regretfully I just don't like the MuleBar gels as much."
