"Wore my new Wooleaters at the DelXc 6hr and the Weekend Warrior 6 hour races. There was dust, dirt, flies hot weather but nothing defeated the Wooleaters."

Don't.
Cons: Expensive
"too thin to be special in any way. not soft as you might expect. not insulating to any discernable degree at all really. most disappointing. these are no better under another pair of socks than any two pairs of socks i can buy from a supermarket for a fraction of the price for multiple pairs. does not do what it says on the tin."

Good winter sock
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit
"I use these with some Sidi Dragons and they're pretty good down to a few degrees above zero. Just wear the neoprene booties when it gets closer to zero and they seem just fine.
They're not a thick sock (in comparison to a walking or ski sock) but seem to do the job very well.
Been through the wash a few times and no issues with the quality."

A Winter Classic
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality
"These are my 'go to' sock each winter. They keep your feet toasty both in the wet and dry. They also last for years. I have pairs that are three years old!!"

Impressed with Defeet Socks
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: none apparent
"Firstly let me say I am a dedicated fan of the Defeet Woolie Boolie socks. I not only wear these socks cycling but also daily to work however they get a tad warm in the Australian summer.
I was therefore looking for a good quality sock to wear in summer and thought I would try Defeet Wooleator.
I am now a deducted fan of these socks also.
I can highly recommend these socks. They live up to my high expectation of Defeet socks.
It is a pity I need to send away all the way to England to get these socks as I have been unable to locate a retailer in Australia who sells them."

not bad
Pros: High Quality
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices
"I bought them as they were alleged to be the warmest thin pair of socks you could buy but you wouldn't wear them on a bike at 3 degrees, or at least I wouldn't again.
They are quite comfortable though and good quality but my search for a good cold winters day sock continues.
Glad I got them for £8 in the sale and think they'll be ok in the warmer weather.

Extremely good socks
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Versatile, Good Fit
"This is the thinner version of DeFeet's Woolie Boolie for those days when my feet feel less cold. Merino wool is brilliant and feel confident in these socks. A quality product."

Great for all year riding
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit
"Great sock for riding all year round. Never got too cold with them in winter (Australian winter that is) and they can handle the heat and dust of summer too. Defiantly worth investing in a pair or two"

expected better :(
Cons: Poor Fit
"Initially ordered to tip my order over the discount amount, so im coming from a perspective of not wanting a great deal from what was a cheap purchase due to discount.
with the Merino blurb and the comfort fit blurb etc. i expected at least Xsocks level of fit and comfort as these are not cheap socks. To be blunt I have Aldi socks I wear for my commute that are a better shape & fit. these deFeet ones are like the cheap tube socks you can get, not shaped or fitted around the box or mid sole. Ankle bit is nice and 'material' has potential but a baggy ended sock for shy of a tenner, Sorry nah!

DeFeet
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices
"When I first got into cycling I felt that buying specialist socks was not necessary and just a sales gimmick until I bought my first pair of DeFeets. I now have three pairs and love the comfort they provide and will not buy anything else from now on.
Recommended.

Wooleators Just the best!
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit, soft as a new born lamb!
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"These are the best socks ever, they can be worn summer or winter, they wash well and are soft and just like wearing a wooly sheep on your tootsies! Wish they did red ones though as I am a bit of a cycle tart! I have big (De)feet (size 13's) and they fit me ok but just make sure you give them a stretch when you wash them other than that, go and buy some now!"

Good
Pros: Comfortable
"good warm socks for winter but cool in summer. Even when feet wet keep feet comfortable and dry out on a long ride. Short tops so not so good when worn with overboots as these can rub on your ankles. Worth buying."
