"Hope skewers are the best in the business in my opinion. The only thing close is the standard old school Shimano steel skewers. Hope skewers look great and work great."

"The Skewer is strong and long. I pull a trailer connect to the bike throught the skewer. I broke two in six months. this is much stronger than the other two very good quality threads, the grips on nut are very good, got a cool sticker.
The springs are flimsy not sure if that makes much of a difference."

"Used on my winter bike so it gets subject to rain, snow and the salt used to melt the ice and snow.
Keeps on working and no signs of corrosion after a year or so.
Not the most exciting of components. You just want it to keep your wheel on, let the wheel come off when you are fixing a puncture and it does the job."

Basically they're well made and the quality is evident when you open the box. Their only real weakness is shared by pretty much all external-cam quick-releases, and that is that they're external-cam.
Internal-cam, such as Shimano (are there others?) allow higher clamping force and are less susceptible to contamination. But, unless you're Giant, you can't get them in red or blue..
Overall a worthwhile bit of bling for your bike."
