Very light and minimalist
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, not foolproof, limited crank compatibility
"This is about the lightest square taper BB you can buy and the bearings are of excellent quality. I've been using the steel version for quite a few years on a time trial bike, which gets a fair bit of heavy pedal-stomping.
Beware though - with the shortest 103mm version not all cranks will fit without fouling the cups (TA's own cranks are OK, as are some Sugino - but it's trial and error). You also need the TA lockring spanner and a Shimano cartridge BB tool to fit it. If you don't want to buy the TA spanner, seek out an old Shimano or Campagnolo lockring from a cup-and-cone BB instead, because not using the correct spanner will mash up the TA lockring. You MUST have the BB shell faced and drill a drain hole for any water.
If the bearings start creaking then just open it up and smear a bit of fresh grease between the bearing cartridges and the cups. When the bearings eventually do wear out they are standard 6903 type, replaceable very easily for about £10 each."

beautifully engineered
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"Like all of TA's product range this bb is exquisitely engineered. Superbly lightweight - there isn't is gram in weight that doesn't need to be there. The bearings themselves are easily accessed for service or replacement, and can easily be upgraded to ceramic. This all comes at a price, but in my opinion the bb is such a crucial component of any bike that it's a price worth paying."
