Slime of the Gods!
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"For those who don't know it Slime is the most amazing invention to make cycling easier since round wheels were discovered, Once inserted into tyres it forms a barrier which prevents punctures and seals any that do occur. Amazing. For the price of an inner tube you can remain almost puncture free for years and it really does work.
It is a littel bit fiddly to insert into tyres (the valve core of the tyre needs to be removed) and hence it can't be used on Presta tyres, but i recommend this stuff absolutely. And it's so green."

Easy to Use and Works a Treat
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
Cons: messy
"This was bought as a precaution against future punctures. I found that it was a lot easier to install than I anticipated as everything you need comes with the bottle including the valve removal tool and the pipe to transfer the slime into the inner tube without removing the wheels of your bike. The only draw back as far as I can see is that if you plan to keep the bottle (say you only needed to do one tyre then you'd only need half the bottle) then you will be left with a very messy tube to try to clean up afterwards. Not a deal breaker though. No punctures yet and I've been down some fairly dubious routes with my bike since installing the slime."

Works well enough
Pros: Durable, Great Value
Cons: clogs your pump, can't be used with presta tubes
"Put this into you're inner tubes and it will keep your tyres up through a fair amount of minor punctures. One bottle (237ml) does both tyres. Can't really complain about that, it does everything it claims to.
The downsides are that it won't keep high pressure tyres (85psi and up)at pressure; it doesn't work with presta inner tubes and small amounts will leak out when you pump up your tyres and clog your pump (eventually). I would also say it is pretty much redundant once you get some puncture resistant tyres.
I've used it primarily on new bikes when I want to put some wear on the cheap tyres it comes with before replacing them with something better, and for that purpose it has worked well."

Heavy and not for speed
Cons: unbalance wheel
"I put this slime in a pair of narrow mtb tyres and find it settles to bottom of the tyre when the bike is left standing for any length of time. This makes the bike a bit unstable at speed 20mph + (any downhills) as the wheel is effectively unbalanced by a weight of slime in one place. I think I'll stick to puncture resistant strips when it comes time to replace these tubes."

Puncture Insurance
Pros: Durable, saves your tubes from punctures!
"Simple to use and lasts forever... well until you really get a major gash in the tube. If you ride off road and do not want to fall victim of silly punctures or of the trimmed hedges left overs then you have a solution. On a recent 3 day epic it has save my tyres where all my friend suffered constant punctures. I have used it now for over 8 years... only ever used 3 bottles in all this time, so to me it is a very cheap investments (although in the past a bottle used to give you enough to fill 3 inners and now only 2)"

Proven in Nightmare Conditions
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"I've used many similar products over the last 4 years mountain biking in all seasons in Cyprus. This product is the best of them, even when my tyres have had about a dozen small thorn punctures I've still been able to carry on. It only failed completely when I rode through what we know as a 'death star' bush, a really common thorny grass that has spikes as hard as tacks in the summer heat. But then the tyre was so bad it had to be thrown away. The fluid is much easier to get into the tubes than other brands, however, the supplied transfer tube doesn't seal properly on my presta valves, so I had to use an old one off other product."

Simple but not the entire solution
Pros: Durable, Versatile
Cons: Limited Color Choices, Unattractive
"Thing to keep in mind is that Slime isn't about to utterly solve all puncture problems, but it can be used to help prevent the majority.
Putting it into context - I use Schwalbe marathon tyres, kevlar reinforced and semi slick 26x1.5" on inner city roads. So I regularly get bits of metal falling off cars, random bits of glass either from crash sites, bottles or smashed bus shelter all stuck into them. I've even had nails hit them when I go past the new builders yard area. The inner tubes are regular car type valve ones, nothing special. Bike is a Gary Fisher - Cronus, so relatively light but no carbon fibre frame.
Getting the Slime into tubes isn't entirely simple, my advice is to remove the tube from the wheel and completely deflate it. Otherwise slight back pressure can result in you unplugging the tube and getting green gunk everywhere! However once going it takes all of a minute to squeeze half a bottle into a tube (easily seen by holding it between you and a light.
Once inflated on the wheel if you don't have a very light bike I suspect you won't notice the difference. What you will notice is when you get a good 3/4 months down the line and haven't had a serious puncture in ages. I went a year and changed at least one tube every 2 months. Slime has let me avoid changing / patching in the rain or when I "just want to get home" which makes it worth it."

Will get you home
Pros: Versatile
Cons: adds weight to the tyre
"In short it works. While not a substitute for a repair patch, if you get a puncture on the road and have no time or equipment to fix it, with the slime in your tyre you can pump the tube up again to replace the lost air and ride it home to fix the tyre there. Don't expect it to do miracles and if the puncture is too big it won't work so don't leave your repair kit at home but it can make the inconvenience of the small or slow punctures go away, just remember to fix it later. One added benefit is because it's fluorescent green you notice it and when you do repair the inner tube you can easily spot the leak."

Don't ride without it
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Versatile
"If you ride in dry conditions where the trails are littered with thorns/spikes/spines then I you need this stuff. I ride with a MTB club and we wouldn't ride without Slime in our tubes and recommed that all new riders do the same. It does exactly what is stays on the tin, you pull out the thorn, spin the wheel and you are back on the trail within minutes. It might seem expensive but its saved me a fortune in tubes. I had 12 holes in my tube last weekend and not a single flat - Slime filled the holes. If you don't ride in conditons where the trails are not littered with thorns/spines/spikes then you probably don't need it - but i'd recommend it as a backup"

Rubbish
Cons: Poor Quality
"This stuff is complete rubbish - did not stop me having punctures with my tubeless tires and just spurted green luminous stuff all over me. Stan's is the answer!"
