Excellent Product
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
Cons: modify mounting for oversize handlebars
"Having used the Cateye brand of computer a number of times in the past I was pretty sure this would be a good product. The instalation istructions aren't very easy to follow, but once set up properly it is very easy to use. (I have installed cateye computers a number of times before so for me it wasn't difficult at all). If fitting to 31.8mm handlebars (as I was this time) you will need to gently file(and reduce in height) the very small raised plastic mound directly underneath the release tab.The oversized diameter of the bars raises the height of this little mound slightly and therefore restricts the amount of downward travel necessary for the release tab to disengage the computer from the handlebar bracket. The heavy duty cable which connects the wheel magnet sensor to the handlebar bracket is an excellent upgrade to have on an off road bicycle as well. I would definitely recomend this excellent product and wouldn't hesitate in buying another one."

Just what i need
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: could be a bit more intuitive to use
"I bought this velo-computer a few years back and had a very positive experience with it. It was giving very consistent readings and I do ride under high voltage line around 250,000 V couple times a day.
The only thing that is missing is a cadence metering but I do not expect this feature from a device in this price range. There are other more sophisticated computers with wireless signal transfer but saying honestly I see no benefits in that. A piece of cable from the sensor to the cradle it tightly attached to the fork does not dangle and is practically invisible so why bother about wireless with all the problem coming with that such as interference, battery etc. If you need cadence metering it could be a different story though.
Unfortunately I had to leave my bicycle for a service in a local shop and temporarily removed the computer from the bike. I misplaced it and no matter how hard I looked afterwards I could not find it. So no wander when I saw it on wiggle I had little reasons not to buy another one. The second unit performs as flawlessly as the first one.
The only thing I would suggest to the designer of this unit is to make the initial setup and mode switches a little more intuitive. I could not figure out for example how to switch from automatic to manual mode without reading instructions.

Cateye Enduro 8Cycle Computer
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"This computer is great a no nonsence product, easy to fit and easier to use. I tried a couple of other cheaper "wireless" type units but they didnt` seem to fit the MTB forks on my bike. Hard wire in my opinion seems to be the best, for numbskulls like me anyway.

Does the job
Pros: Rugged
Cons: Unadjustable, Poor Fit
"It's a mixed bag really. It seems well made and the display is big enough to read off road, however it is let down by the set-up interface and the sensor adjustment (getting the distance close enough to the magnet). I ended up packing inner tube behind the mount which isn't very elegant."

Great example of Cateye quality
Pros: Durable, High Quality
"I've owned a couple Cateyes over the years, they have always been very well built and taken any physical or meteorological abuse I have thrown at them.
I think I've owned this model for about 5 years, the Odo says 5000km but I could have reset it during that time. Or maybe that one time I've replaced the battery...
This particular model measures speed accurate to 0.1km/h, but only under 30km/h. Above that speed it becomes 0.5km/h accurate. This shouldn't be a concern however.
This would be the only computer worth looking at until you get into GPS territory."

Quality bit of kit
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Good Fit
"For the money paid for this bit of kit I have to recommend it, fair enough it doesnt do the top end functions but for an amateur rider or someone who rides recreationally and doesn't want to pay to much for a Cycle Computer I would go for this bit of kit everytime.
It attaches nicely to the headset and set up is easy.

Another reliable product from Cateye
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Versatile
"Bought this to replace a 15 year old Cateye Tomo on my MTB. A very wet trip in the Scottish Highlands finally killed it.
They never claim to be waterproof so this didn't come as a surprise.

Value for money
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged
"Although complicated to fit and am now still trying to find a way to replace batteries, it is a fine piece of kit for the money. Went through a forest after purchase and it worked perfectly and, more importantly, it stayed on."

Great value computer
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Adjustable, Good Fit
"Fed up with the unreliability of a wireless unit with long travel forks, have been very pleased with the quality and fit of this Cateye model fitted with a heavy duty wire.
Easy set up, simple to use, accurate and enough features for my type of riding
Hghly recommended

a little bigger than I expected
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
"Cateye make some great cycling computers and this one is an example. For the money, it is a good entry level computer and gives the basic functions that make recording the ride stats easy. This model is more bulky than I had hoped and I should have spent a little more to get a more compact version."

Pros: Great Value, Good Fit
"Got every function I need. Easy to install and set up. Really like the two wheel capability. I got a second sensor kit for my road but was a bit disappointed that you have to order the wheel magent seperately!!
Apart from that if you need a simple bike computer you could do worse.

Cateye Enduro 8 Cycle Computer
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
Cons: complex instructions
"Having owned a much earlier version (some ten years old and still going strong) Cateye seemed a good choice again.
Installation is simple, the wheel size guides are pretty accurate too. The display is clear and the layout familiar. My only gripe was that the instructions took some understanding, only due to the fact that there is the option of auto time start v manual by way of the additional red button on the front of the unit.
This is not a big deal and once you've grasped it it's pretty simple to operate.
For the money a solid buy."
