Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile, cafe covers
Cons: Expensive
"I have used cleats since they were first introduced back when men lived in caves and rode bikes made of steel. I have now found speed play. Without doubt the best ever, easy to use no fumbling to engage, just press and click. But without doubt the best feature is the packing plates to compensate of different leg lengths. This feature has improved my riding power and comfort no end."

Not cheap, but worth the money
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"Let's face it the Speedplay Zero pedals aren't cheap and one of the downsides is that the cleats are more complex and hence more expensive than most. However the upside is that they are so easy to use because the pedal finds the cleat (or the other way around?) so much better than most pedals / cleat combos. So after buying a set of pedals and cleats I have willingly invested in the additional cleats for the winter boots - but also some coffee shop cleat protectors to try and make sure that they last that bit longer!"

Easy to install and set up but a bit pricey
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: Bulky
"I've had Speedplay Zero pedals for a few years and found the cleats to be durable and very easy to set up.
Down side... Expensive, but you're buying a well made item. A bit bulky but you only notice that when you're walking around in them.
I've got some Bont one's, Sidi Ergo2 Carbon's and Gaerne G.Akira winter boots and haven't had any issues fitting the cleats.
All that's needed now is more shoes to be available with 4 hole drilling."

Zero Cleats
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"I've had these before but the old ones had become very worn although still worked ok. One of the screws was missing and it is very difficult to find replacements. I am planning a trip to Paris later this year so a new set of cleats seemed like a good idea and getting them now would ensure I could get them set up right and worn in well in advance. Easy to fit having done it before and like the others, they work really well; this time I've bought some covers too!"

Think different(ly)
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: wears out eventually
"The free floating Speedplay pedals work wonderfully once you get used to the slightly vague feeling you sometimes get, especially out of the saddle. Their advantage is the freedom your have that allows your feet to float. No more joint pain.
The bottom of them does scratch like a bugger the moment placed on any firm surface but they are low maintenance (a little dry lubricant once in a while)."
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Great product, very easy to fit and even easier to adjust to my setting."

Just an extra pair
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable
"Bought these as a back-up, as the pedals come with cleats. I've now fitted them to my other pair of road shoes so I don't have to wear the same shoes all the time."

Good road pedals to those used to SPD
Pros: Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"I bought these pedals on a recommendation. To me standard road pedals have always been a little to constraining for me, not allowing enough float and also being a real killer to get your feet in and out. To me these speedplays are ideal. They feel very similar to mountain bike SPD type pedals whilst holding your feet in place more securely.
My biggest problem with the pedals is that they're not very good at withstanding very wet and dirty conditions. I rode the Exmoor Beast a couple of years back and within a few days of completing the event the pedals had seized completely. They were easily recovered by a good clean and purging the old grease from the bearings, but not as durable as I was expecting."

Best on the market
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"To make a long story short, I have previously broken my legs at different times in my life, they were not reset straight, thus causing a problem with my pedalling action. I have used other pedals which only exacerbated the problems. I have only been wearing the Speedplay Zero's for 10 rides and I can feel an enormous difference already. They initially took a little bit of getting used to as far as getting in and out of, but now, pain free cycling."

Speedplays
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: covers definitly required when walking off bike
"I have been a competitive cyclist for a number of years and have tried various cleats throughout this time. The Speedplay Zeros have been the best I have ever used. Easy to fix to the shoe and easily adjustable, the cleat has a good float and is very robust. I would recommend buying the plastic coffee cup cover things however, just for the added protection when grabbing a coffee mid-ride or walking to the garage to get the bike as they are a bit slippy on tarmac and will scratch up a bit."

Excellent cleats
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"I really like my Speedplay zeros. The cleats last a long time (replace at 5000 miles, although I bet they could last longer) and the system is easy to use. They are not the easiest to adjust, (4 screws for sideways and three for forward/backward, which you can't get at unless you remove the 4 screws for the sideways adjustment), but the pedal system is one of my favourites due to the float, double-sided entry, and long lasting cleats. Just make sure to get a pair of cleat covers for when you are walking around in them. The cleats may be a bit expensive, but they do last."

Just Awesome!!
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"These cleats are just awesome! Very easy to fit to the shoe and adjust. Float adjustment is through the cleat itself and is very easy to get an accurate adjustment. Engaging the pedal is easy in whatever position due to both sides of the pedal being accessible and disengaging is similarly effortless compared to other cleats I've used in the past. Walking in these cleats is a little awkward to start with and I would recommend the Speedplay Cafe Cleat Covers as an additional purcahse to both protect the cleat itself and prevent any slipping on tiled floors."

"Easily the best pedal system out there in terms of performance and functionality. The completely unrestricted float will solve the knee problems your old system has caused for you. The downside is that they are pricey and fiddly, but it is worth it."
