Trangia 27-2 Stove and Cookware Set
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Stove set has been fantastic - ideally suited to two people (although would be a bit small for three people or more). The kettle is a brilliant addition."

Elegant, simple, affordable solution
Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality
"Have used Trangia gear before but this is the first I've owned. Very impressed. Pricey given the material involved but worth it for a high quality well-designed piece of kit."

Good Quality
Pros: Great Value, Rugged, High Quality, Lightweight
"I used Trangia a lot as a kid so I knew I was getting a quality stove. Its durable and tough so will take a lot of knocks and packs away neatly. Very uncomplicated system so not much can go wrong with it - should last a lifetime easily. The kettle is great for a cup of tea after a long day in the saddle"

Old School But Works Well
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
"I bought this Trangia set to take cycle touring and in general I'm very pleased with it. The pans and kettle are light, of excellent quality and stack away well into each other. One advantage of the Trangia is that it comes with a built in wind-shield which really does work even in high winds. I've also got an MSR Pocket Rocket, which is a great lightweight gas stove but in high winds the flame can get directed away from your cooking pot despite being like a blow torch. The Trangia is also very stable and it doesn't cook so strongly that you burn your food. There are some disadvantages with this product though. It uses meths which can get a bit messy and although its apparently easy to find all over the world, you have to know the name in the country you're in. I also find that the burner can run out of fuel if cooking something for a long time. You are then supposed to wait for it to cool down before adding more meths. I don't and it's generally OK. I will say that meths is much safer than petrol as a fuel and you are unlikely to go too wrong as you don't have to pressurize the meths. There is a gas burner that you can put in the stove (not included as standard) which enables you to have good wind protection with a clean and easy to use fuel. I bought one of these going cheap on the internet (normally £50!!) and it's works very well."

Tradition wins!
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged, High Quality, Versatile
"The trangia is a proven cooker for use with groups and the smaller 27 version is lighter and more easy to carry than its bigger sister, the 25. it's great in windy conditions and stable, so can be kicked and nudged without spoiling your meal! Not as fast as gas, but when you are relaxing in the outdoors does it really matter??"
