Worth having
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Bulky
"Having recently purchased a mid range full carbon road bike I am determined to look after it properly; I have never used a workstand before but now realise that if you want to be serious about maintaining your bike it is an essential piece of kit. The Spindoctor is relatively easy to set up, although accessing the 14mm nut is a bit tricky, but once assembled it enables you to clean your drivetrain as it should be cleaned. It is impossible to clean it effectively whilst trying to hold your bike up and push the pedals round and apply de-greaser. I was a little apprehensive at first to clamp the carbon fibre frame but no damage was caused! I now look forward to cleaning my bike, I have also given my MTB and 6 y.o. son's bike the cleaning treatment. Would not be without it now. It is a bit expensive but compared to buying a drivetrain it doesn't come close."

"Excellent product, without it i think that servicing my headset and replacing my drivetrain would be near on impossible.
holds the bike well and securely, and it takes a full range of bikes from kids bikes right through to freeride mtb's"

Never knew what I was missing
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"The sale price spurred me to buy this and I am glad I did - how did I manage without a workstand before?
Now I can inspect all the nooks and crannies without having to scuff my knees, and wreck my back. Working on the wheels and drive train is so much easier . I am also less likley to knacker the frame and forks by balancing a bike in various states of disassembly on the floor. The reality is that I now perform more thorough and regular bike servicing than I ever use to and I enjoy my cycling better for it!
Dont be fooled by the picture, this workstand is much more robust than the photo gives it credit for. It is more than sufficient to support a bike for any form of tinkering. It perhaps doesnt collapse to a size as small as I expected but this is no big deal, if it did I suppose it wouldnt be as robust."

Great value bike stand
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"First time I've had a bike stand, so I don't have a lot of experience of them but what a difference it makes to even the simplest maintenance jobs - my first one being fitting a new cycle computer, which would have been a lot more fiddly if not for being able to lift the bike and spin the wheels to check the wireless connection etc.
The actual stand is bigger and more substantial than I expected - and this is a good thing in my book - even at it's lowest setting, the bike is lifted clear off the floor and could certainly be lifted to I wouldn't have to bend at all to work on it. Also, my bike isn't the lightest in the world being an entry-levelish aluminium hardtail but the stand is certainly up to the job of lifting and holding it securely.
Due to the way my cables run under the top tube of the bike, the grip of the stand has to hold the seat post, but seems to do so without a problem, so should be fine for other similar types of bikes. It does mean it's slightly front heavy then, as it's not holding the bike by the centre of balance but it hasn't fallen over yet. The grip is easily adjusted and can be made to grip very firmly simply by adjusting the clamp bolt.
Easily put together and even folds up neatly to be easily stored - definitely recommended, especially for the 60 quid I paid."

How did I manage before I got one of these?
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Good Fit, Great Value, Versatile
"When adjusting the dérailleur gears on my mountain bike, it was a right pain in the bum to keep lifting the back wheel to crank the pedals for a bit. Now the bike is held in the stand and I can fire away with the screwdriver and the job takes half the time and is twice a enjoyable. I had a laptop in the spare hand watching a youtube video on how to do it.
My bike does not have perfect round tubing, and I was worried that the clamp would not accommodate the squarish tubing too well, but I needn't have been concerned, as although the grip is not perfect it is more than good enough to hold the bike securely.
This is great value for money, and is 27% better than I was expecting for the price. Maybe 28% !"

'Work' stand... i think NOT !
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, Lightweight, Versatile
"How it can be called a workstand when it should be called a JOY stand ! Takes all the hassle out of any job. The stand takes seconds to get out from its storage position to ready for use... from maintenace to cleaning, i even used it just for oiling the chain ! Don't be put off by the 'Flimsy' claims, as if it was made from any other material it would be too heavy to lift ! Clamps the bike on seat tube and also top tube. For the price i paid i am well pleased and actually look for things that need doing just so i can use it !"

Top tool
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, Versatile
"This tool is a must for anyone who likes to take care of their bike. This stand sits as a tripod which is perfect if you take it with you in the car and have to set it up on slightly uneven ground, it also folds relatively small so putting it in your boot is no problem. This saves trying to work on the bike with it propped up against the car and then having it leave a nasty scratch down your door and also saves you scratching you gear shifters and lever clamps if you work on the bike upside down. The height of extension is ample and the clamp is strong and clamps nice and tight, the clamp shape is made for round tube really but I manage to get a reasonable fix on the top tube of my enduro sl. Put against a pro shop stand it is a lot lighter and so not quite as stable, but you wouldn't want to carry a pro one around, they weigh a ton! Overall far cheeper than all the rest and as I cant see any weak points have to say equally as good as the rest too!"

Godsend for a bad back !!
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Great Value, Lightweight
"I can't recommend this highly enough. With all the rotten weather we've been having recently I seem to be for ever cleaning the bike and this stand makes it so much easier.
Very easy to set up to what ever height you require - I'm 6'1" and it's fine for me. Fairly stable with the bike in it - as long as you don't go mad. It makes getting into those awkward places a breeze !!
When not in use it collapses down quite small for easy storage.
Overall, an essential for every serious rider."

Great value stand
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Versatile
"As soon as you get a work stand there is only ever one question, "Why did I wait this long?!" One of the reasons was price, with a decent work stand normally coming in at £100+. However, then I found this stand, which is recommended in several reviews and is a steal at £60. It is great quality, with all the parts feeling solid and easy to tighten and loosen. It has lots of adjustability so you can get the bike exactly where you want it, and is all quick release so you can do it one handed while holding the bike. It also folds down well for storage. When I work on my bike now I no longer have a bad back and sore knees! Get this!"

sturdy
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Adjustable
"I haven't had this long, but was surprised by how stable it is, and makes maintenance/cleaning a lot less hassle. Well worth the $80. Easy to assemble, and strong clamp that can be rotated to suit."

Great bang for the buck
Pros: Great Value, Rugged, Adjustable
"This thing is brilliant for the price. It's sturdy and adjusts without much of a problem. It's probably not as polished as one that costs 4x as much but it'll do the same job and for a home workshop what else do you need?"

Why has it taken so long?
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
Cons: none
"For me to get a cycle stand! I really don't know how I managed without this piece of kit. I'm no mechanic but cleaning oiling my chain which I do after every outing, mounting my computer and generally giving my precious bike the once over, without an aching back and sore knees (I am 60 after all) and without trying to do these things one handed whilst holding my bike with the other is quite simply marvelous. The stand itself is a breeze to use, solidly built and steady as a rock. At the price Wiggle are selling it, you'd be mad to miss out."

Good purchase
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: difficult to put together
"This is a good stand but a bit of a hassle to put together and the first step in the instructions is a bit misleading. It is strong though, lightweight and very portable."

Sturdy, stable, stand.
Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile
"This is a sturdy stand that holds the cycle securely while it is being worked on. It has a good range of adjustment, so you never need to bend down to reach the parts that you are working on. It was a bit expensive, but it's good quality, so should last a long time. My only regret is that I didn't buy one years ago."
