"Not sure if it's cause the cables are Campag or the fact that my old cables are 10 years old but the difference is unbelievable ! Gear change is so smooth and quick that I won't wait 10 years next time !!

campy ergo cables and housings

"I have all Campagnolo components on my road bike. 9 speed shifters and derailleurs. I did have Shimano housings and generic brand Campagnolo compatible cables. The changing seemed a bit rough and tight, so I decided to change over to original Campy ergo cables and housings. I am pleased to say the changing is a lot smoother. Actually it was the great price that encouraged me to change over."

Excellent - just try to avoid stupid mistakes!

"If you've got Campagnolo mechs and levers then it makes perfect sense to stick with their cables, too. It all just works together nicely.
Sure, it's not the cheapest, but if you skimp on cables and things don't run smoothly then you're going to feel daft.
Similarly, if you are fitting these and you cut a nice long piece of outer in half by accident and thereby necessitate buying a complete new set, then you're going to kick yourself. Just like I did.
MEASURE TWICE, CUT ONCE!"

"Got these to fit with the version 2 older style ergo levers. These cables are desined for the new ergo leversbut they work with all ergo's with no problems. I do not think that these cables are of quite the same quality as the older ones though, as when I trimmed one of the gear cable outers to fit, the inner part busted out through the black plastic outer and i had to cut again. This happened despite me using proffessional cable cutters.
Good value though at the price I paid"

"While this doesn't boast the magical qualities of the Nokon or Gore cable sets it comes at less than half the price and shifts perfectly well - provided your gears are adjusted properly. Looks aren't bad either - you can't go wrong with black, can you?"

"Why bother with anything else? My cables looked like new after nearly two years, but even though everything still shifted well, I thought I should change them - since it had been two years. When I pulled out my old right gear cable it had frayed pretty badly (I should have taken a photo because it was really hanging by a few threads). Freaky that it still worked so well."

"I may be a bit biased as I put Campagnolo above all else in the groupset component world. Last cable set lasted me two years and I have only replaced as overhauling bike. Was impressed with quality of fittings then and now and as cables are pre stressed shouldn't have any stretch on cables requiring future adjustments to setup."
