Best ever long distance socks - 1st Marathon Must
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"These are fantastic socks. I bought 3 pairs over 10 years ago when I was training for the London Marathon, the only blister I ever got was a single compression blister on my sole during the race.
Since then I've used these regularly for my longer runs, bush-walking etc.. I'm amazed at how durable they are for their weight and thickness.
They are very comfortable and no thicker than any normal sock, the only thing I suggest is that you make sure you put them on without any folds or ripples.
I haven't been able to find these or anything similar in Australia. Thanks Wiggle - so easy to order over the net and arrived in less than a week!"

Comfortable but a little thin
"Got these socks for my husband - while he finds them comfortable he is used to relatively thick socks when running and found these a little thin. He wears AU size 13 shoes and found the extra large (12-14) size ok."

Doesn't Stay Up
Cons: Low Quality
"After looking for a high cuff white sock to wear to work I thought i had hit the jackpot with these socks. On the site they look fantastic, however once they arrived I was instantly disappointed. Barely any elastic on the cuff, which means they look great when you pull them up, but within minutes they fall down and bunch up around your ankles. Maybe it's just me, but I like my socks to 'stay up' and unfortunately these socks didn't fit the bill. Will just be thrown in the drawer as 'bum around the house' socks"

Do the trick
Pros: Durable, Comfortable
Cons: Bulky
"If you are prone to blisters on a part of your foot, these will help but not keep them 100% away. I have discovered that chances are, there's also something going on with your shoes, i.e. too wide, lose, need to do up laces better etc. One thing you need to remember is as well, is that these will make your feet hotter than a single thin sock. Worth a go though."

Sorted blisters for marathon
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I've suffered with blisters on my feet as long as I can remember when I run so with a marathon looming I wanted to get it sorted once and for all.
In the end the combination of 1000 mile socks together with compeed blister plasters allowed me to complete the marathon without suffering any major* blisters.
* I still got blisters on the tops/sides of my toes which I put down to friction between my toes and therefore nothing any sick could have helped with."

A bit lumpy
Cons: Wears Out Easily, Poor Fit
"Just didn't work for me. The material of the inner layer quickly gathers under the arch and heel area, inhibiting the longer runs that I'd purchased them for. Tried the second pair in trainers for general gym use or walking and got the same problem. However, I then found that when used on the hand the twin layer design and material structure makes an excellent car polishing mit, so all was not lost."

Comfort
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Good Fit
"After being pointed in the direction of the 1000 mile sock I must confess that on first touch I couldn't help think that it was very thin in material.
However, in use I have to compliment these socks, how I ever managed with all those other kind of socks for years I don't know.
I am a convert to the 1000 mile sock and have gone some way to that mileage target with them.

100 Mile socks
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"These are every bit as good as you expect from the title and more !
My son uses these for a 36 mile school walk, never gets a blister, and then uses them all the time there after. Simply put brilliant socks and don't hesitate to buy them. Teenager proof what else can you ask, only bought a new pair because his feet had grown.

Seem to work
"Struggled with blisters this year after Aldi/Lidl changes the design of their cheap socks. Have experimented with other makes unsuccessfully, but after a few runs in these can confirm I'd had no blisters yet."

Worst blisters of my life!
Pros: Attractive, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, blisters
"Having been a runner for many years and never before had problems with blisters i thought i would treat myself to some proper running socks having since relied on ordinary cheap white socks.
I was so convinced of the blister free guarantee that i broke the first rule of running and wore them for the first time in a race. I had a great race very hilly half finished in 1.19 but the soles of my feet really hurt . The double layer made my feet slide on the steep downhill sections causing huge blisters and big red blood patches on my socks!
I can barely walk now just have to wrap them up and carry on with my marathon training
Stick with regular socks and give these a wide berth"

Didn't stop blisters and nail damage
Pros: Good Fit
Cons: Low Quality, Wears Out Easily
"I've done plenty of running in these socks in very hot conditions (Pacific islands; training plus half and full marathon) but much less than 1000 miles, and while they have decreased my blister rate, they haven't prevented rubbing and toe damage. I'm not convinced. They are really just one thin sock inside another one, quite hard to put on your foot, and seem to be showing signs of wear, so I guess I miss the sponginess of thicker socks."
