Does what it says on the box
"After buying a Fortius at my LBS, I quickly discovered that no cadence data was being registered by the software. Rather than picking a fight with my local dealer (who is a bit like the soup guy from Seinfeld) I decided to simply order a replacement sensor from Wiggle. The package contained exactly what you see in the picture (sensor w/cable, fastening strap), and this was exactly what I needed. The sensor feels a little fragile (especially where the cable enters the sensor), and based on other users' feedback on the Internet, they are easy to break.
If your Fortius doesn't receive cadence data (In RLV mode the brake will turn on every 10 seconds, in VR mode you'll get an on-screen message telling you "no cadance detected" [sic]), this is probably the part you need. I noticed Wiggle selling a similar article for about twice the price, but I guess that one contains the magnet as well."

Tin
"Does what it says on the tin.
Only niggle is the rubber "ladder" which attaches the sensor to the bike can easily get lost.
Other than that, jobs done.
Dont lose the one you got with your trainer though and save yourself the cash!"

Replacement Tacx Cadence Sensor
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality
"After accidently breaking the cable on the original sensor I found a replacement quickly on Wiggle.co.uk, and it was very easy to fit (even had extra fittings to tidy the cable - thus avoiding further issues)."

Useful gizmo to keep your turbo turning
Pros: Good Fit, easy to fit
Cons: could be more robust
"The sensor is part of the Taxc turbo trainer kit and it's comforting to know that spares are readily available. The previous one suffered wire fracture and the plastic hooks used to secure it couldn't take the stressses of the rubber fastener. But since this is after 8 years hard use I guess it ain't bad."
