"Anti-fray cable end caps are essential to stop your cable from fraying, which looks terrible, traps dirt and could cut you. for £2 10 end caps is a bit expensive, theses are probably made for pennies but i guess its only £2. installation is simple, put it on the end of the cable then squeeze with a pair of plyers, be careful not to squeeze too hard otherwise it wil cut straight through! A pinch on the cable is all that is necessary, i normally do this twice and i havent lost a end cap yet.

basic thing but without one a frayed cable looks a bit naff."

A bit too chunky

"An end cap is an end cap, you would think. But these seem to be rather cavernous compared to my brake cables, resulting in a rather squashed appearance when crimped. And they are near impossible to crimp properly, being fashioned, it seems, from weapons-grade tungsten. I had one fall off and a new cable fray. Could be I'm incompetent, but I never had a problem with the jar-ful, found in the garage since time immemorial, which just ran out, necessitating this purchase."

"Having just restrung my xc bike with jagwire gear cables, i chose these little beauties to tidy the ends up. They are very nice fitting brass caps, and look good on. i secured them by lightly crimping them on with my cable cutters twice at 90 deg. Job sorted. i wll use this product again when required."
