get one if you're in the city
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit, lung saving
Cons: Poor Fit
"I have ridden with and without my mask and can say with no hesitation that you can feel the difference when riding with a mask, that's if your riding in areas with heavy traffic! After I commute to and from work without the mask I arrive at my destination coughing and can feel the exhaust fumes in my lungs. Whereas when I wear the mask I don't have a problem. The only down side is when first using the mask I got a slight feeling of no being able to breath properly. Once I got use to it it was fine. Also, having a slim face the fit isn't great."

Cons: Expensive
"I think it makes a difference in London traffic, but maybe it's all in my mind!
It's a bit pricey and usually rubs on the bridge of my nose until the filter wears in a bit.
Recommend taking the mask apart when not in use to let it air a bit otherwise soon starts picking up an odour."

Great cycling mask
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Unattractive
"I've been using this mask for years, more to warm up the air than to filter pollution, although I'm sure both help to prevent cold- and exercise-induced asthma attacks! Gets a little bit sweaty but once you start breathing heavily enough to activate the expiratory valves it's fantastic.
Comfortable and fits well (I've got a small head and face and the medium is fine once you adjust the nose-piece).

difficult to know how much benefit but a good fit.
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
"There is no way of detecting how much benefit this product will bring. I do however trust it is blocking some of the fumes. When you change the filter each month as recommended, you can see the dirt on the outside of the old filter but you could expect that. Good fit for my face and the filter has blocked the chill in the December months."

respro city mask
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Poor Fit
"good overall purchase although much better value if you have the neoprene mask already ( I was getting refills). picks up a lot of particulate dirt after a month or two but doesn't stop odours/smells of exhaust. fit can be tricky, tends to leave a gap at the top which steams up glasses (annoying and dangerous). moulds better after 3 months but by then you should have changed it!
one of the best on the market though

Respro city filter
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Really suprised by the quality of this product, fits really well and is really well engineered. Once I figured out that you're supposed to adjust the metal nose clip it was very comfortable too."

Respo City Filter
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"It's hard to tell how well these filters work, and whilst i'm sure they are removing the harmful fumes from what I breathe in, it is disconcerting to still smell diesel fuel etc. The filter is really easy to use and doesn't impair breathing. Shame they're so expensive."

Life Savers
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I commute to and from work on work on my bike along busy main roads. A couple of years ago I started to get really chesty when for a time after I arrived at either end and I realised it was the car fumes I was breathing in while I was riding.
I had a quick browse on Google and discovered anti-pollution masks and checked on Wiggle and found that they had a good range to choose from (although some styles are questionable).
They work a treat. There's an initial charcoally taste when you first use them, but that passes pretty quickly after which you barely even notice it's there - I've started having conversations with people with it on; that doesn't work so well..."
