The ORTLIEB Folding Bowl is a versatile companion which can be used for doing the dishes, washing clothes, picking berries, even bathing babies, as well as a food bowl, salad bowl, outdoor aquarium etc.

More useful than I imagined....

"i thought this was the height of luxury and a little extravagant, but having dutifully read all the blogs i could find about solo cycle touring and noticed how many people mentioned a folding bowl or collapsible bucket i thought i'd give it a go. So low expectations! However, turns out that it is so darn useful! I used it to wash, do the dishes, as a shopping basket (of sorts!) to store food & cooking gear in the tent and soak my feet in whhilst having lunch next to a lovely little stream on a hot day, like i said, height of luxury & extravagance! Yet as a product it is well made (Ortleib - nuff said?), robust, folds away fairly small and more importantly, flat, so it always tucked in somewhere. it was reasonably light, though i think Uber lightweight gear freaks would have a heart attack ! Definately gonna leave it in the car and take it away next time i go off a peddlaing (maybe even walking?). Overall, fantastic value for money and a great purchase."

"Just the thing for carrying water, eg. from the river to put through your filtration system, or for washing up. Handy too for holding the bits and pieces off the ground when you're cooking a meal. Folds down small but very useful capacity."

fantastic product

"We've bought this bowl as a washing up bowl for our camper van. It's just the right size to chuck all the dishes in and carry across fields to the washing area. Also it folds down very easily and takes up next to no space. Knowing Ortlieb it will last for ever as well hopefully!"

"If you enjoy a little free camping away from the crowds or enjoy the freedom of travel and bedding down in more natural surroundings, then you have to answer the hygiene issues,ie, washing and cleaning. With this fold away bowl you can set up a wash room,laundrette,or KITCHEN SINK wherever there's a water supply. The bowl folds down flat so it can be pushed down the side of a pannier or rucksack and it weighs next to nothing.Its made from a rigid PVC material which gives it excellent self support when filled with water with no fear of collapse and thus far totally waterproof. A great versatile piece of kit that allows you to stay on the road for longer and smelling sweeter."
