How did I manage without one
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
"Very stable stand with good build quality. No regrets in paying a little more for a quality product. No Tacx tool tray available but the Topeak one fits a treat."

Tacx Spider Professional workstand
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, stable no extra hands needed
"Erected in minutes, bike held secure and stable at working height, both wheels free. My husband can now maintain all my bikes, no excuses, and 3 bike riding sons also very keen on it. Does not take up much space when not in use either."

Excellent
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: nope no cons here!
"I looked long and hard at workstands, and finally settled on this one, primarily as I trust he Tacx brand and as I specifically wanted a tripod type stand for the extra stability this brings.
I have used this for my uber lightweight race bike, heavier winter training bike, even heavier turbo trainer mule and also for a massively heavy Pashly sovereign that belongs to my girlfriend and it handled all with ease.
After a few uses I cant imagine how I ever coped without one in the past - this make such a positive difference to just about every single task that its a no brainer really.
Highly recommended."

Solid
Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality
"Solid build, quite heavy but certainly does the job. Not the most elegant piece of engineering but then that probably isn't at the top of most buyer's concerns."

Great Kit
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile
"Having spent years trying to do the impossible, namely properly clean a bike propped up against a wall, I bit the bullet and invested in this kit. So straightforward and easy to use out of the box, I now bomoan not having bought one years ago. Whilst the sticker price seems expensive, compared to what you would spend on a half-decent bike, it is an absolute bargain not only in convenience terms but also for maximising your bike's appearance and performance."

Buy cheap, buy twice!
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit, easy to use, should last decades
Cons: Expensive
"This is an expensive product - you can buy a reasonable second-hand bike for the price of this stand!
HOWEVER, I certainly do not regret buying it. It is manufactured to a high quality. It is clearly built to last. It is a pleasure to use. The tripod legs are strong and spread to form a very stable base - I am tall so have the bike up pretty high, but I never feel that there is a danger of the stand tipping over.
The clamp is straight forward and I usually clamp on my crossbar - I do not have concerns that the durable and tough plastic clamp will damage the paintwork. It would be perfectly possible to clamp on the seat pin, but I would have to remove a reflector to do this so I don't.
The stand folds away and would fit in the boot of a car without difficulty."

It weighs!
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"It took a while to justify paying so much for something that might turn out to be a luxury!
It's my first workstand, and I'm sure I won't need another. So I can't compare it with a cheeper or lighter item. However, if you are serious about looking after your bike(s) then it is a brilliant piece of kit. This one is probably as good as they get.
The day after it arrived, I had decided to clean my partner's chain etc. When I pulled the bike out of the garage, it had a rear puncture! I couldn't believe it! It wasn't a problem though was it? I fixed the wheel in about 20 mins. including a lot of faffing about with the stand to see if I was setting it up right.
So that's the end of propping up a bike on a foot stool and a pile of magazines.
It is a well put together piece of equipment, and will hold a bike at any angle, and at any height you might want. It also comes with a handy handlebar brace. The feet have rubber 'soles' so they won't scratch, should you be using it indoors. The stand folds up, and could be hung on a wall with a couple of hooks I guess."

Work it
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile
"This is the best I could find with quality and value in mind. Some of the cheaper stands didn't look as durable. This is solid and when the legs are fully open they support the bike no problem. The clamp can go around any part of the bike you can lift it to. Cross bar, down tube, where ever. It allows you to pivot the bike end up and end down, i.e. rear wheel up high, then bring the front wheel up high. You can rotate the bike 360 degrees around the centre pole to make working on the other side easy. This is all I want the stand to do and to hold the bike solid in place. The clamp is a hand truned big screw on the front which could take any size tube as far as I can see. The clamp itself is harden plastic. This stand is solid. It has no work tray, but that's no problem for me. There are generic ones that I am thinking about adding on, but it is not the be all and end all for me. Oh, the whole lot folds up and will fit in a corner in a shed. There is no storage bag like some stands, but again, not important."

I should have bought one a long time ago.
Pros: Adjustable, High Quality
Cons: Expensive
"I should have bought one a long time ago. A well engineered bike stand with a simple effective clamping system.
The included bar clamp is a very useful accessory.
I have already put to use for the following tasks washing and cleaning off the road grime, tensioning the chain on my Langster fixed, adjusting the brake pad alignment. All tasks so much easier with the bike secured at a comfortable working height.

Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality, Versatile
"Bought this as I was fed up with sitting on the floor whilst having a bike leaning up a wall to clean it.
And it is so good I wonder why I hadn't bought one before.
Simple to assemble and it folds up nice and small for storage. Good range of adjustment and very stable in use.
Definitely recommend this to others."

Christmas present for my husband
Pros: Durable, High Quality
"I bought this stand as a surprise Christmas present for my husband. I chose this one because of the favourable reviews. He was really pleased with it and it seems really sturdy and of good quality. He hasn't used it to fettle his bikes yet because of the snow, it's too cold apparently. He's a bit of a fair weather biker!"

Brilliant piece of kit.
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"I read the reviews of most of the workstands available at Wiggle and decided on this one. It is robust easily adjustable and clamps my Boardman very well. It does fail on my ancient Viking because the 531 tubes are small in diameter but a piece of flat rubber wrapped around the tube improves matters . It stacks away tidily and is easily erected. All in all a very good buy."

Strong, Sturdy. You'll only need to buy once
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile, wheel holder
Cons: no storage for wheel holder
"This is an excellent workstand. It is strong, well-built and very stable. It also includes a device to stop your front wheel moving, which is very handy.
It's still pretty big when folded down, but overall a great buy - especially as I doubt I'll have to replace it at any time in the next 10 years.
My only gripe is that there is nowhere to put the front wheel holder when folded, making it easy to lose. A clip to hold it would have been nice"

Good kit
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Great Value, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: doesn't fold away easily for storage, no tool tray
"This workstand took less than 5 minutes to get out of the box and set up. Unlike some of the cheaper workstands I've looked at, this Tacx model is well built and easily adjustable. The tripod base is larger and stable. A nice surprise was the inclusion of handle bar holder which is often an additional purchase with other makes, (it would be nice to have a tool tray though!) I've just had such a stress free time replacing my brake and gear cables that I wish I'd bought a workstand years ago!"

Top Product
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Versatile
"I was looking for a cheap maintenance stand and then was lucky enough to be given some wiggle vouchers that doubled my budget so I bought this - and I do not have a single regret.
It does everything you want - fully adjustable so you can get the correct angle you wish to work at. Very strong and sturdy and well balanced. Comes with a tool that locks the front wheel and handlebars in place.
Advice to all those people looking at going for a cheaper option, don't - buy cheap buy twice - get this."

Good Sturdy Stand
Pros: Adjustable, High Quality, Versatile
"Its the only stand I have bought - hence only giving a rating of 4 stars as I can't compare it to anything. The stand is sturdy with a wide base and plenty of adjustable positions. I dont intend to travel with the stand so it stays at home. I'm glad I went for this over some of the cheaper ones because I think I would be dissapointed with the cheaper ones.
Would be nice to have a work tray or somthing like that."

Great Work Stand
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Versatile
Cons: Expensive
"Very impressed upon delivery, as it's always a promising start to see the item well boxed and packed.
Upon opening, assembly was a doddle and was up and working in 2 min.
It even comes supplied with a small extendeding arm which locks between the seat post and the handlebars to secure them in place for even steadier working.
Th build quality is first class and the wide feet make it very stable even for the heavier bikes.
All in all i'm glad I spent a little more, as this work stand will outlast my cycling days."

Fantastic
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"I received this yesterday, I was pondering whether to buy a stand that was £60 cheaper (a 2 legged version), but I am so glad I bought this. I had my bike on it and it was extremely sturdy, and feels like it would last a lifetime.
I can see even chores like washing the bike will now be simple."
