Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers

The Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers are ideal for a recovery session or to warm up at an event, they fold flat enough to be carried in the boot and provide an ideal warm up solution when on your race tyres or tubulars. Why risk a puncture warming up on the road? Rollers offer very low resistance and are ideal to get your heart rate and muscles warmed up, they have been used for years by track cyclists in-between events due to the stop start nature of the sport. They also help hone your bike handling skills and improve pedalling technique, making you smoother and more efficient when on the bike.

Training on your own bike!
"You must be a confident cyclist to use rollers like these - it's a bit like cycling on a very slippery road. The pay off is a very realistic training session where you simply use your own gears to select how much effort you want to put in. just half an hour on these rollers is a serious workout.
The machine is straight forward to set up, very easy to use, folds and unfolds in seconds. Solid construction, the rollers are solid and smooth. It's also very convenient to transport and ideal for warming up before competitive events. Just as easily you can put it in the garage and put some miles on during the long winter months. I really rate the Elite Ghibll Parabolic Rollers."

"Having watched all the YouTube videos I was a little uneasy about buying a set of rollers but wanted accessible training.
I needn't have worried.
Easy set up (you simply unfold them), good build quality and the rims definately help keep you on the rollers. Strared in the kitchen door frame and had both hands on the bar within 5 mins and changing gears within 10 mins... don't look down, look forwards!
Now looking forward to regular nights of high cadence torture before first sprint triathlon!"

Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable
"I have used three different tacx's rollers and boght the Elite on recommendation.
I have found the Elite ones to be the best, they are easy to ride, I have not fallen off ! despite pushing my wheel onto the roller lips to see what happens !
They offer just the right amount of resistance.

Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"Got the rollers out of the box on boxing day, set them up in the kitchen so I had something to hold onto and the wife holding on to me just in case I took out the fridge. Its a bit like pedaling on ice to start with. I thought there is no way you can pedal on these things, but after 5mins and several offs it was out to the garage for a proper go. After 15 to 20 mins I was starting to change gears. You do have to concentrate 100% all the time. When the wife came and told me that I had been there for 1hr it just felt like I had just been there half that time. It definitely stops you moving the upper body. I have had about 8 goes now and it gets easier each time. So if you are considering getting this type the lip on the end of the roller DOES help. It gives you a chance to stay on the rollers and the bike. I think it would have been a lot longer for me to master rollers without the lips."

Great Purchase
Pros: Great Value, Adjustable
"Having never used a trainer or rollers before I spent a lot of time weighing up the pros and cons of each before finally going for the rollers.
First couple of rides were a bit scary and I sweated more from the fear of falling off than I did from the actual riding. Once you get used to it though it's not a problem and I like the lips on the rollers to stop you rolling off the side.
Product was well package, very easy to to set up (came already configured for a road bike) and the quality is first class. Can't comment as to how it shapes up against other brands but I've been very impressed with them. I would definitely recommend these to other people."

Excellent product
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
"I bought these for my wife as she wanted to do something midweek during the winter. She was very nervous about using the rollers, however, within ten minutes on the first day she was widing comfortably. Day 2 she was changing gears. We position the rollers in the door way so that she has the security of something to hold on to. I have now positioned a television where she can see it and the plan is to watch the soaps while training. Overall an excellent purchase"

Elite Ghibli Parabolic Rollers
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Unadjustable, Not Enough Features
"Given that winter was on the way and I didnt fancy wrecking my bike in the winter rain and slush, I though I would invest in an indoor trainer. I went for the rollers as I thought it would replicate the road more effectively than a turbo trainer. I read all of the comments from previous customers and would generally reflect their comments. It is difficult to get started with the balance, but after a couple of minutes you will be changing gears and training at different cadence. Overall it is good as you can think about pedalling technique and your core stabiltiy. The big downside is that you cannot vary the resistance a great deal. Even pedalling on the top gear offers little difference."

Excellent price & quality
"I read the reviews and purchased one. I have not been disappointed at all, great quality, low noise, good feel. I was up on them within 3 minutes with no hands. Yes it is like riding on ice at first but the tapered roller edges add a great level of safety"

Great training kit addition...
Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit, quiet
"No setup required, removed the rollers from the packaging, unfolded them and they were ready to (ahem) roll...
Saw all the horror videos on youtube so I didn't think I'd be able to get much use out of them on the first go...
To my surprise I was up and riding in less than 10 mins, between a door frame for added safety of course... After about 15 mins I felt confident enough to change position on the bars and change gears etc...
I've used them indoors and they are surprisingly quiet...
You are reliant on your own gears for resistance would be the only draw back and that's a very minor gripe from my perspective... What more than makes up for it is the live feedback from the bike as if you were on the road... The kind of feedback you simply can't get from a turbo...
Out on the road now I feel much more steady in my upper body and whether it's placebo or not, I think I'm putting more of my energy through the back wheel as a result..."

Great first rollers
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged
Cons: no adjust resistance
"I had never used rollers and got these on the basis of the reviews on Wiggle. I am very glad I did. They are great and easy to learn on. Took 5 - 10 mins to get the hang of it and now I really notice the difference in technique."

Great purchase ...... HARD WORK
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable
"I bought these to assist me with my riding as the winter is looming and I am having trouble getting out on the bike with other commitments. These are great. I recommend a good cooling fan though as they make you sweat A LOT. Took me about 20 mins to master."

"well i read all the reviews before i purchased the elite ghibil rollers and i must say im very impressed with the quality of these. they may not be the most expensive but they are well built and very quiet so five stars there.
I also read about all the nightmare balance problems people were having riding these, now im not the most experienced rider but after 5 mins i was riding with no problems at all, yes you have to concentrate hard but this helps train with your cadence training and pedal technic .
20 mins on these feels like 40 mins on the road, its safe, its warm so bring on the winter training :)"

"As I haven`t ridden my bicycle for many years I decided to get a pair of rollers to get me back on track as I wasn`t very confident about taking to the streets again.I have managed to master the art after many attempts.I feel quite happy to continue with the rollers as the roads are quite dangerous.A good move ,Thank you."

quality rollers
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
"Having used a turbo trainer for a couple of winters and found it not only mind-numbingly dull but annoying not knowing how far i'd gone, so, i thought, rollers are the answer, both wheels going round so the bike computer works, time goes by quicker because of the concentration required to stay upright, much better for me than a turbo, and the Elite rollers are good quality, sturdy and smooth."

Simple and effective
"I'd never ridden on rollers before and I bought these as a more realistic/active alternative to the turbo trainer.
They set up straight out of the box within about 30 seconds. The front roller can be adjusted forwards/backwards to suit different bike sizes - this aspect is a bit agricultural and would involve getting a spanner out to remove nuts/bolts then reposition and fasten, but luckily it was already correctly positioned for my bike.
They seem sturdy and well made and fold up neatly for stroage. After a couple of minutes i was riding on them without trouble and the parabolic shape does help stop you riding off the edge of them. The action is pretty smooth and they are fairly quiet.
My only (minor) critiscism is that they covered my tyres and frame in a sort of red plastic fluff which came off the roller surfaces - i hope its not a sign that the roller surfaces are going to wear out quickly and need to be replaced. Presumably that's why there are more expensive hard-wearing aluminium rollers though......
On the whole i'm very happy with them.
Great service by Wiggle, as per usual."
