"have been using this product for some time now,mainly for commuting to town and back.seems to do the job,haven't had my bike stolen yet.the lock can be a little fiddly to operate,but a small price to pay for a peace of mind.overall a good lock."

"Tough and so far it is keeping those pesky bike snatchers away from my beautify specialized sirrus sport 2011.
This chain is sturdy and yet not too heavy that you could not travel with it. The padlock is tough and there are plenty of spare keys just in case :P
I think that the chain could benefit from another 20cm in length to be a little more versatile in the range of locations that you can chain your bike to."

heavy, strong chain

"Would have trouble getting through this without the heaviest cutters, makes my bike much more secure. Is heavy so not much of a portable optiion, perhaps 1.3kg. Padlock is heavy duty but i find as the links are so big its fiddly to put the lock though the chain, especially in the cold"

Great for its price!

"Our all risk insurance policy requires that our bikes be locked while in the garage and this lock is perfect for the application. It's shorter than you think, but all chain, lock, 5 keys, and chain cover all seem good quality. I wouldn't use it in a high risk area as I prefer very heavy duty Kryptonite locks, but for our insurance needs it's perfect."

Get a different Padlock
Pros: looks good

"I originally bought this because I wanted to wrap it round my seat post rather than having a lock dangling off the handlebars and it's really good for this and stops it feeling too heavy. It's also scray looking enough to put off any oportunists.
However the padlocks a nightmare. The keys are teensy and are doing all the work. I've only had this lock for 2 months and struggled with it since the day I got it. Unfortunately this week I got fed up after atleast ten minutes of struggling and gave it one last push and the key peeled off leaving half of it still in the lock. Even when we were trying to get the chain off we tried almost everything and then with one tap somehow the key did it's magic and the thing sprang open with no effort.
Far more hastle than its worth, and I'll be going back to using a D lock which I've never had any problems with."

"This is a very rugged chunky chain, it also came with 5 keys so plenty spare so if you lose one you dont have to resort to trying to break the chain.
Not the sort of chain you would want to carry around, but I am using for locking bike up at work so is ideal.
Good size, well made with a deadlock.."

"Couldn't decide between buying a chain or a shackle lock. Chose the chain as it can be more easily stored in smaller places. Lock and chain is scary and chunky enough to deter an opportunist theif. It's a little short, but just enough to allow the frame and front wheel to be locked around a lampost. Padlock is a bit fiddly though as the lock mechanism is operated by the key itself, plenty of WD40 and a little practice will cure that."
