"It took me ages to find a replacement chainring after I snapped one.
This one is the right diameter for the bolts, right number of bolts and is black (as is everything on my bike).
I shopped around massively to find the right one so knew too much about the cost of chainrings. This one was definitely well priced.
If you need it, get it."

"Up to the usual standard of Shimano. I bought this because was starting to get dreaded chain suck on middle ring. Nice and easy to change (with the correct tools of course), and now runs lovely and smooth. Bit pricey when you consider price of Lx, which is only slightly heavier."

"As usual with mtb chain sets middle ring wears out the fastest. Buying a genuine replacement is never cheap but in this case well worth it as a ride buddy decided to go middleburn.......lets just say he's running shimano again 3 weeks later."

"I bought this middle ring to replace my old one on a XT crankset after around 3500kms, the Shimano XT product is spot on for serious rec riders - you get good life for the weight and cost.
Just a note on fitment - you need to remove the whole crankset to replace the middle ring on a XT set up"
