Easy toi use bleed kit!!!

"This is a very easy to use bit of kit.
My Avid Juicy 3 breaks were performing really really bad, so I decided to buy this kit to try and fix them instead of going to my LBS. Worked out cheaper to buy this and now means I can now keep on top of my breaks myself.
I did not truely know how bad my breaks were until after I had used this kit and hammered the breaks on hard for the first time. I nearly went over the handle bars!!

Great and very easy to use. I would say slightly over priced as at the end of the day it is just basically DOT fluid and 2 Syringes with clips on. Saying that its better value than getting someone else to bleed your breaks.
The instructions that come with it are ok but to be fair the best way to see what to do is with the video walk through on You tube."

Works As Advertised

"I would imagine getting brakes bled in Sydney would be fairly expensive, as is everything, so thought it worthwhile to try it myself. I have never bled brakes before.
I brought my laptop outside and started the Avid video on YouTube, and started following along. Everything went fairly smoothly, and my brakes were back to new.
My advice would be to make sure to get some gloves ahead of time, as they suggest in the video, because the oil is a bit, oily. I used an old pair of kitchen gloves, but would recommend a thinner pair - like used in the video."

"I was wary of trying this kit. The instructions look complicated, and the how-to video on YouTube is scary. However, it's easier than it looks, and I have now bled my brakes successfully. There's enough oil in the kit to do the job several times, so the price is not as bad as it looks."

"Only issue is that the syringes need replacement after several months, easy enough to obtain from medical supplier. Bleeding procedure works well. Tip; watch a youtube video for instructions if you have not done it before"

"like so many jobs, once you've done it, you wonder what the fuss was about but the first time it's useful to have a third hand. Cannot fault kit but make sure you store the bottle upright - that hydraulic fluid can creep out...."

"This is a quality piece of kit but at a price. It is very easy to use and greatly improves brake performance. It has very good instructions but I would still highly recommend watching the video on You Tube if it is the first time that you have bled brakes."

Avid Brake Bleed Kit

"I have experienced one of those low budget "clone" kits and it was a real struggle to get decent brakes with it. You get what you pay the extra for with this kit. It fits securely and has all the right attatchments and makes bleeding the brakes quicker, easier and more effective. The only downside is the cost, but its still good value by the time you add up the cost of wasted brake fluid!"
