Tacx workstand
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile
Cons: more suited to road bike frames
"Sturdy stand, with about the right amount of adjustment in height, although getting towards its max makes it slightly less stable. Plenty of range to fit different sizes of road bike, haven't tried, putting a MTB in it but might be a bit of a struggle unless it's a real light weight one."

"excellent build quality. robust and sturdy. easy to balance. only negative, it could be supplied with a sturdier bottom bracket stay."

Tacx Spider Workstand
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable
"I found the stability and build excellent. The fold away feature makes for easy storage and the stand is solid. Once clamped the bike can be swivelled 360 deg. which makes life easy. It was tricky to work out how to clamp the front end - the instructions could have been more detailed but overall I'm very pleased with it. No more aching back!"

Excellent workstand
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable
"I bought this as I could't justify the extra for the park PRS-20. However, I'm glad I did get the Tacx. It has a useful tray and does everything the Park does. It's not as heavy either. I definitely recommend this stand and cannot find any negative points to report."

Tacx Spider Team Workstand
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
"Fantastic stand. Been using a Park stand for last 20 yrs but this unit is far superior. Being able to turn bike round 360 degrees rather than having to walk round the bike plus being able to vary height are a real bonus from Park stand are a real bonus. Looked @ alternative stands but this was the best choice.....best bike purchase this year."

RESULT
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile
"Had been intending get a work stand for ages, but kept losing interest as couldn't work out which one would be best to cover full carbon road bikes through to much heavier hard tail mtb's.
Stumbled across the cyclespider - read reviews and all sounded good so an easy decision in the end.
I have no compaints and have just completely rebuilt a road bike using it, and as everyone seems to say ' I wish I had got sooner etc'. seriously, it is great, all those little tweaks and adjustments you never get round to now get done and easily.
Haven't had the mtbs' on it yet but not anticpating any probs. Yes, you always have to have either wheel out to attach it, but that really hasn't been a problem and small price to pay to something versatile enough to cover all bikes."

Good quality work stand
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, stable
"I am very pleased with this stand, which I expect will last me for many years. It is solidly constructed out of painted steel box section and chome plated steel tubing. The only potential weak points are probably the plastic clips which lock the legs, height and swivel positions.
I have used the stand for cleaning and maintaining my road bike. It has proved to be really useful and easy to use every time I need it.
My only slight critiscm is I find there is generally not enough space on the horizontal section of the stand to attach the tool tray which is provided.
However, overall, I am very pleased with the stand and definately recommend this product. It also folds easily to a T-shape, so it can be hung on suitable brackets or between garage joists.

Great Stand
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
"Wow what a well made stand.
I have used a few stands in the past and to be honest they have been ok and done an alright job. This Tacx is a super stand very well made, won't bend or wobble and strips down to a couple of small components in just a few seconds.
Very Highly Recommended

Excellent Workstand
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit, folding
"Solid , easy to use and set up with a great system for letting your chain run when cleaning. Fits all bikes.
The only problem with this design is that it's a bit harder to put bikes on with mudguards but that's the same for all brands.
If you have a carbon bike this is ideal no clamping of those precious tubes.
Highly recommended!

"very sturdy stand, a bit of a pain if you just want to do something small as you have to take one of the wheels off to use the stand but this is compensated for by the fact you don't have to put a grip on your precious carbon tubes."

Fantastic workstand
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, High Quality, Versatile
"Having read many workstand reviews decided to opt for the Tacx Cyclespider and was pleased to find that it was a very good choice. Very quick and easy to set up and adjust, good quality and solidly made. Attaching the bike to the stand via the front (or rear) fork using a QR provides a very stable and versatile work platform. Also the fact that you can rotate the bike when attached to the stand is very useful and other touches such as the clip on tool tray add to the impression that this is a well thought out product. Overall this stand offers great value for money, whilst more expensive than some alternatives the overall balance of price vs quality and versatility in my opinion make this a great choice at this price point. Recommended."

How did I ever manage without a stand?
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, every diy mechanic should have one!
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I finally splashed out on a workstand after enduring many years of aching back muscles and sore knees whilst working on my bikes. WHY DID I TAKE SO LONG TO BUY ONE!?!? They make maintaining my bikes a much less painful experience and my bikes get used on the stand far more than I ever imagined for major cleaning and stripping off of components down to simple minor cable adjustments etc...
The choice was a little overwhelming but this stand stood out on a number of points - future proof for an upgrade to a carbon frame (they can't be clamped on the tubes so this is great because it clamps using a QR skewer onto the wheel dropouts, front or rear) - can rotate the bike on the stand for ease of access - Tacx stuff over the years has demonstrated a balance between value and quality meaning not paying top money but still getting a quality product.
Not at all disappointed with this stand, sturdy, bulletproof box steel tubing, well coated, well designed clamps with chunky plastic latches when adjusting height, bike placement etc - folds up to take much less space when storing or transporting the stand. Useful clip on tool tray is very useful also.
You have to remove a wheel (front or back) to clamp the bike on but it's really not an issue with QR, takes me seconds. Also my training bike fits on with the crudcatcher road mudguards in place. Switching between my road/mtb/childrens bikes is effortless with the sliding dropout clamps.
Great stuff!!!!"

Best Workstand?
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Versatile
"I got this stand so that I wouldn't have to clamp the tubes on my carbon frame, unlike others I've seen.
This was the cheapest I could find that got around the problem, and it is brilliant.
Sturdy, well built, flexible (in that the bike can be mounted using either front or rear dropouts, and the icing on the cake was that it has a clip on tool tray too!
I recommend it."

"This stand is so versatile and it keeps the bike in a strong hold and does not move around. The build quality is superb."
