Still going strong after two years
Pros: High Quality, long-lasting
"I have a indoor trainer permanently set up in my garage and use it all year round as a training aid.
For years I used old tyres without knowing what a difference a purpose built product could make. Prior to buying this, the garage floor was constantly covered in fine rubber shavings and unpleaseant burning rubber smells as the tyres slowly disintegrated.
I've now been running this trainer tyre for almost two years with regular use and it has made such a difference. It is quiet, clean running, odorless and requires only occasional re-inflation. Buy one - you won't regret it."

Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile, does not over-heat, no excessive rotation noise
"Yes it's that time of year again, have to start thinking of "Turbo Trainers"
and which tire?
Well for me, the Continental Ultra Sport is as good as they get. It takes everything you throw at it and stays cool, no over-heating or shredding of the tire.
With that in mind, you need look no further.

Does the job well (as usual for Continental)
Pros: High Quality
"This tyre is an ideal companion for anyone with a turbo trainer. If you have a spare wheel (if you don't, get one!), put one of these on and get training, without any danger of ripping your road tyre apart.
Works perfectly.
While I wouldn't say that it is a bad fit, it is quite hard work to get on the wheel. But once it's there, you know it's there to stay - you probably wont be getting any punctures."

Great functionality - 3 stars due to heat seppo

Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"Tyre performs great on the indoor trainer. No slippage and heats up quickly so you don't have to spend as long during calibration. On the Computrainer, in most circumstances, a 5min & 15min calibration would give me the same number.
The only reason why I would not rate this 5/5 is because after about 700km of trainer time, i felt a bump. Upon closer inspection it was due to a bulge which was clear sign of heat separation (where the tyre delaminates due to load/speed/heat combination)."

Careful setup needed
Posted April 5, 2012
I've used a few (3) of these. Had heat problems but fixed it by careful setup (tyre pressure and roller pressure on the tyre). I found 60psi and the minimum roller pressure to prevent slip at a steady pace was best. My last one survived over 2 years (347 hours use to be precise!). This is by far the best tyre I've found for this purpose.

Better than I expected
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit
"Good upgrade for indoor trainer at a reasonable price, but should probably be included with new trainer purchase. Noticeably smoother and better traction compared to road tires (Michelin, Hutchinson)."

Contineltal - Quality
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality
"Great trainer tyre, of course its going to grain, but so do all trainer tyres, try and find me one that doesn't and I will buy it, but this tyre is great ... Works at high temperatures and is still grippy, not slippy."

Pros: Rugged, High Quality, Good Fit
"I purchased one of these after using a normal road tyre on my turbo trainer, and it completely splitting the carcass after 3 uses. This works very well. So far I've done 200 miles on it and it still looks like new. It is fairly quiet compared to road tyre I was using. The only downside is that I now have the faff of changing tyres between rides. I bought a cheap set of training wheels to make this quicker, and to be fair, there's nothing Continental could do about this."

Just what you need with a trainer.
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality
"After my road tyre started to get ripped apart after only a few miles on the trainer I decided to buy a dedicated turbo trainer tyre, and this does the job perfectly."

Pros: Durable, High Quality, Good Fit
"Nice and quieter on a trainer... these tyres are much better than using a road bike tyre that aren't as smooth surface. Also I can also get better use out of my road tyre with out wearing them out on a trainer.
I would recommend that you buy all the extra components that go on a back wheel with your bike fittings that way you can just quick remove the entire wheel and install your usual road tyre :)
This will save time if you go to turbo session during the week and road sessions during the weekends.

Does the job
Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality
"Got turbo trainer tyre after wearing out a regular tyre in 3 weeks. Now I understand why you need a turbo-trainer specific tyre. Does what it says. A bit rigid and folded up out of the box so not so easy to fit, but once fitted it was just the job. Haven't tried alternative makes but quite happy to spend this sort of money as I only use this bike on t-t now. It would be a pain if you needed to keep changing. I guess you get a wheel to use on the t-t only. Sorry if this is obvious, I have only recently got my first turbo-trainer."

Exactly what it says it is
Pros: Durable, High Quality
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"Does exactly what it says. Used it a few times and can't see any wear so far.
Not sure if it is me but it took a long time and lots of fettling to get it on to the rim. Never had any trouble with any other road tyres before."

Makes turbo training much more fun!
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"After suffering with a squealing tyre for some time, I purchased this tyre for a winter's turbo training.
It has made the whole process of turbo training much more enjoyable, reducing noise substantially, increasing grip and responsiveness, and reducing dead spots and tyre slip. I use this with a tacx satori, everything I ever need for a winter training session!
It was incredibly difficult to fit, though I'm sure thats a result of its design, and is just a bug bear to put up with. Plus side is that you won't be stuck by a road side trying to replace it! or even get a puncture as it will only ever stay on the turbo wheel I have put aside!"

Great Purchase
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Rugged, Good Fit
"Well worth the money... If you have an indoor trainer then these item is a must!! Save your good tires for out on the road..
No burning rubber smell, no shredded rubber left on the floor and slightly quieter.. I've used it everyday and tyre still looks brand new..

What you need for a turbo trainer
Pros: Durable
"was damaging my road tyres so got one of these on recommendation from a friend. A good move - is quiet and shows no sign of wear. Only downside is that the tyre is no good for the road so you can't just drop the bike off the turbo and take it for a ride. I solved this by getting an old wheel of a friend to use in the turbo."
