Cateye paves the way!
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"With a very competitive price, and features galore. The cateye micro wireless cycle computer has made my bike training so much easier.
With the wireless ability, it is easy to attach with no fussy wires along the forks! The fact that the product comes with so many features, I assumed that it would be a bit difficult to use, especially when riding. However, at the touch of a button, I was set up and ready to go!
An amazing price for such a fantastic product!"

Great computer
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"This is a great product. I am pleased with the clean look of the wireless installation on my bike.
The pictorial instructions are quite straight forward, making the installation easy. Reading directions carefully, makes the calibration easy to carry out.
I love the trip vs. total distance function as it allows me to log total odometer on the bike so I know exactly how many miles I have done.
The button is easy to use, even with gloves on, and the interface is simple.
I have used a few other computers on demo bikes and this one, with its simple interface, is definitely a great value for the price paid.
This is a computer to recommend for either beginners or more advanced bike riders."

Great bike computer
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight, easy to use, good range of displays, easy to read, easy to install
"I mainly ride road bikes and compete in triathlons. I needed a computer for my new winter trainer bike. Having had several brands of computer I now stick to Cateye because I have found they work reliably and are easy to use. My preference is for wireless and the cost difference these days is small.
The Cateye Micro Wireless is ideal for road bikes - slim and light. The sensor fits behind the fork with a magnet on a spoke. Mounting this computer was a cinch - the whole job took me 10 minutes max. Setting up is straightforward but follow the step by step instructions the first time. I really like Cateye's button logic - it makes sense (to me) and therefore it is easy to use.
The features are just what I use - time, distance, speed and average speed mainly. Changing display is by pressing the top button which is easy even with gloves on. The display has great contrast and is easy to read - even with my ageing eyesight! The display indicates with an up or down arrow if your current speed is above or below the average so far - a very useful quick reference.
I do like the auto pause which stops the time recording when you stop. So you get a true average. Neat - some other brands do not have this so watch out.
An excellent product which does what it says - and does it very well indeed. Well thought out and a high quality item that looks good."

It never fails!
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"This happens to be one of the best bits of kit i have ever owned. Set up time was minimal and one set up i have never needed to adjust it in any way. Have used it relentlessly for many months day after day come rain or shine.
Gives a great clear readout of speed above all the other readings of time taken, av speed, max speed, distance covered in journey etc. It also has an odometer to tell you how many miles in total you have travelled.
A great product for anyone into cycling. Due to me being a road cyclist i am not sure how well it would fare on a mountain bike where large amounts of muck could end up on the magnet, however due to its simplicity it would be easy to mend. You can also buy spare parts should anything be damaged."

"I have owned one of these for about 3 years now and have done over 2000 miles with it. Its perfect for my needs, all the features i need and none i dont need. Its wireless which means no cable to get tangled in things, i havent had any issues with interference, but i have herd in cities this may be a problem. Its very simple to set up, setting the time and wheel sizes doesnt take long. for wheel size there is a table of all wheel sizes in the manual with a corresponding number so you get accurate readings. the computer attaches to your handle bars with cable ties provided, as does the transmitter to your fork.
You can also use this on two bikes i think but i only use it on one so i dont know how this feature works. Distance is measure up to 0.01 miles/ kilometers which is accurate enough. The time only accumulates when you are cycling so it measures your cycling time not total time. Average speed is one of the best features, other models do not calculate it but this does. i use it as a guage to how fast i have cycled as i do the same route often. If you hold down the "mode" button for a few seconds it allows you to reset the distance, average speed and maximum speed without affecting it on the other mode. there is also a backlight which is very handy if you are planning on using it when it gets dark. I'm not too bothered about heart rate but i guess it would be interesting but if it was included the computer would cost a lot more.
it looks pretty cool, the metal has no function but adds to quality. its pretty durable i havent been in any crashes but have dropped it a couple of times and it hasnt broken or cracked.
overall its an ideal computer, and for the prices pretty good value."

""Cateye Micro Wireless Cycle Computer" Fantastic piece of kit!
The Micro has 10 functions and 12 features, including LED backlight, manual odometer re-set, and a bracket that will mount on both stem and handlebar. As you can see by my pictures it sits nicely on the stem and with the large screen it is clear and easy to read and with its push button function it’s very easy to use. This is the wireless computer for any style of riding. I have tried it out on downhill and road use. (no prob's).
Set-up takes minutes, once you've found the right language on the vast instruction page, clear and easy to follow. Remember to keep a hold of them you may need to refer later if you switch tyre sizes.
In addition to the standard features I was looking for, it also has an extra set of memory registers so that average speed, elapsed time and trip distance can be stored and used for a second bicycle, even with a second wheel size, or to track a separate series. Cateye elapsed time function only recognizes when the bicycle is moving. The speed calculations are accurate I checked against the Highways Department road side speed odometer and it was spot on, both reading 33mph.
All in all a cracking cycle computer without all the fuss

Great value and well-featured
Pros: Great Value
"This is the first cycle computer I've bought so I've nothing to compare it with, but it works really well. As others have said, setup is simple - just follow the instructions and it takes a few minutes. It's taken me a few rides to get used to it (and to not use it much - prefer to see where I'm going than watching numbers change!), and a couple of times I've managed to zero it accidentally, but I think that's just me. Would recommend."

value for money
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight
"bought this after my much more expensive specialized wireless computer bounced off my bars somewhere on the ride home from work. this does everything that used to at half the price. Easy enough to set up. Only thing i don't like is how you have to press 2 buttons to reset, which is a bit annoying when you're already riding. Would be better to just hold down a single button."

Simple, easy and reliable
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I'd forgotten how easy it is to get a computer to work when you do not have cadence - great! This is for a mountain bike, and cadence wasn't really needed. The sensor and transmitter fitted the Fox Shocks and spokes well - plenty of adjustments to bridge the gap. I was a bit worried about the 'max 70 cm' from transmitter to computer, but it hasn't been a problem. Big easy to read figures, neat design,"

Cat Eye Micro
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, easy set-up
"This device does exactly what it says on the box ! Easy to set up and all the information you need to log your cycling distance. okay it doesn't show pedal cadence but how much time do you want to spend looking at the screen when you can be cycling ? For the normal cycle enthusiast this is plenty."

Lasts the distance
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged, High Quality
"I used one of these for riding around the world. Used it for nearly 40,000km, before I lost it around a Vietnam border crossing.
Had it for 5 years or so. All I ever had to do was replace the batteries a few times. So I've ordered another one. Wireless seems to work well, only had a couple of odd spots around the world where something interfered with it. Far more reliable than another cheap wireless one I used once.
Only problem it had was that after 6-12 months of taking the speedo off several times a day, the bracket didn't clip it in quite so securely. Used a lump of Blu-Tak for a while to give it a bit of extra hold, which did the trick."

Excellent Value for Money
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Good Fit
"For only $AU50 I found this purchase to be a winner. I only wanted a unit that records the main things like trip time, max speed, average speed and distance covered & this unit does it well & is really easy to use. I usually have to wear eye glasses to read a book or computer screen, but the size of the numbers is adequate to allow me to read them easily whilst riding.
Also it easy to setup & the sender part that you put on the forks is stable once you do up the ties nice & tight meaning it doesnt annoyingly get hit by the spokes should it move going over bumps or whatever.
For the low cost it is good value.
