Great upgrade if you can buy on runout
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
"These are obsolete now, obviously, but they're a real step up from 105 5600. Shifts were considerably smoother and faster."

Great Product
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Good Fit
"I bought this as my replacement roubaix frame needed a braze on mech rather than a band type. While waiting for this to arrive i used a 105 mech which worked fine but the difference between the 105 and dura ace was incredible much quicker smoother no fuss."

Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"What can I say, Dura- Ace is a top of the line product and this one works great. It is somewhat pricey and is functionally the same as the Ultraga. there is really little difference but I wanted to keep the group set all Dura-Ace. If price is important get an Ultregra one, shifters work the same on both but with the wiggle price why not get the best for bragging rights."

Premium parts
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"When buying parts for my ultimate hand made custom steel frame randonneuse, you want the best and the for the best you can't go past Shimano's flagship range of Dura-ace. I ordered front and rear Dura-ace derailleurs as you need reliability from these high working bike components on any ride or race. Last thing you need is a non working bike due to a small part failing."

DuraAce as expected
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"Replaced an Ultegra SL (to use on other bike) with the DA7800 and as expected the DA is lighter (mainly due to thinner clamp), more sophisticated (i.e. groove for cable) but too close in functionality and looks and double price."

"Nicely made. Works as expected. Hard to say that it is superior to the equivalent Ultegra item, but then again it wasn't vastly more expensive."
