"I have Hope Mono Mini brakes on one bike and Formular RX on another. The safety clip on the RX pad retaining pin is very easy to lose, and you cannot buy just the clip its a set with the clip and pin for 16 Euros. So I now adapt the Hope clip on the RX. Very little risk in this as the pad pin is screwed in and not just held with the clip as on the Hope"

there is hope
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
Cons: can get snagged and come out, tricky to fit
"hope mono pad retaining pin clip. this holds in the brake pad retaining pin on your hope mono brakes. its very small and very fiddly to fit and often get caught on things an pop out. its a standard part and no after market improvements are available so its kind of a necessary evil. does the job though and don't leave home without it or your brake pads will fall out!!!"

You need these.
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"Own a pair Hope hydraulic brakes. After a pad change you lose these babies your kinda scuppered. Holds the pad in place when mounted on the bike. Can be used again but you need to be careful when pulling! Buy a pair and keep and you'll never be stuck up the creek with no functioning brakes! Expensive for a small clip, however, you need them."

Useful Small Things
Cons: very easy to lose when changing brake pads
"Essential spare parts, very easy to lose these clips in a dark garage or by the side of the road. A life saver for a few pence."
