Clean your tyres...
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged
"...before you ride. A small amount of winter grit embedded in mine caused a ring of abrasion around the spindle, and a coating of powdered steel on my tyre. Not that it matters so much, or that it's specific to this product, but I thought I'd point it out.
This is a good, sturdy, compact trainer. It folds away nicely, it's very quiet (my bike makes more noise than it does) and it looks good. It was pretty easy to put together, and the bike can be mounted on it in seconds.
I didn't like having to replace my skewer, as the one in they supply doesn't fit well into the recess on my frame, but it must be difficult providing something that fits universally.
The liquid rotor provides a decent amount of resistance, there's very little tyre slippage and the unit is stable enough to get out of the saddle (though maybe not for a full-on blast). It's well built too, and really feels like it will last."

Good first Turbo...
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"Bought this after being unable to secure the Magneto version. Finally decided that this might be worth the extra (still great value compared with other online stores).
Glad I went for this Fluid2. Quality is good, easy to set up and really very quiet. I use this in the gararge so noise isn't really an issue but you could easily use this indoors without causing too much disturbance.
Took a bit of fine tuning to get the back wheel securely into the axle / skewer connectors on the trainer but, once set up, very stable.
Haven't used a trainer before, so have nothing to compare this too. Sessions are hard work (not sure what I was expecting..?) but I'm seeing improvements already so I think this is a great way of keeping some fitness over the winter and keeping those skinny tyres off the ice!"

Quality trainer and pretty quiet
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality, Rugged
"This trainer gets it right. It is easy to set up and take down so it takes up little space when not in use. It is stable when set up and there is little noise made by the resistance unit, which is a nice feature if you live in an apartment. Since my home has hardwood floors, I put a rubberized mat under the trainer to dampen the vibration and with the mat, there is no vibration sound at all. The resistance unit works well with little or no slippage and it has a very natural feel to it. I've tried a couple different types of trainers but this one is the best of the lot. So far no complaints and I've had it over two years now and logged perhaps a thousand miles on it."

CycleOps Classic Fluid 2 Turbo Trainer
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"My first Turbo Trainer, very impressed by how quiet it is, and easy to use. It has a quality to its build, I have mine set up in the Kitchen and no complaints from the wife.
I bought it as I broke my wrist and needed to continue my training, its hard work and you will sweat loads.
I have a HRM and Cadence sensor which is fitted to my bike and to be honest I do not think the product would be as effective without these.
The DVD is not used, I looked at it once and not used since.
Last point a good playlist on and i-pod is important too."

Great Turbo Trainer
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"This turbo trainer requires you to replace your spindle with theirs to ensure your bike fits properly. This was quite easy to do and once you have adjusted it once it is easy to fit & remove your bike. If you leave your bike on the trainer there is a lever which moves the dribe wheel off your tyre to prevent flat spotting. This turbo provides a very smooth ride you can pedal as hard or fast as your legs will go, If you stop peddaling it is just like free wheeling on the road.
The training video is great as well, filled with good advice for novice & experienced riders. I would reccomend having a towel close at hand as sweating is guaranteed.

Great Trainer
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"I have been looking for a trainer to keep up my fitness over the winter months and I am really pleased with the Cycleops Fluid 2. I have used it for a total of 4 hours up to now and have no complaints, its relatively quiet, easy to set up and gives you a good training session going through the gears to adjust the tension."

Great trainer!
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: instructions hard to understand
"Intuitive to setup, which is good because the product instructions are difficult to understand.
Very easy to adjust. Very easy to get bike on and off.
Great feel when riding. Difficulty keeps on increasing with speed, which is unlike other trainers which seem to get easier if you peddle faster.
Also pretty quite, at least compared to other trainers."

Simple and Solid
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I bought 2 of these - one for me and one for my son. They are great and with the clip in mechanism, it takes no time at all to put a bike on or off. Due to the wear they can put on tires, I also purchased a spare pair of back wheels (Shimano WDH500) and mounted a continental training tire, and a vittoria training tire on the 2 respectively just to compare. Of course you need an extra cassette also, but having these extra wheels means preserving your good road tires, and just very quickly being able to drop a rear wheel on/off is no hassle at all. I found the resistance very practical for a good workout. Changing gears tunes the resistance very easily, and I'm reasonably strong cyclist and I still have a few harder gears to go for the odd simulated hill challenge. You do break into a sweat and get a proper workout on this and the flywheel gives it a more realistic momentum feel than some gym spin bikes. I've seen other brands that fold flatter if that is your main concern for travel, but it's still a pretty compact device."

Good workout on bad weather days
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable
"When you can't face going outside while it's wet and windy, the CycleOps trainer is really convenient for getting a hard workout in. The resistance is linear as you ramp up the gears and speed and it'll have you sweating in no time so make sure you have a fan or a window open to alleviate the heat. I don't have a basis for comparison as this is my first trainer purchase but it is fairly noisy in my one bedroom apartment, I don't believe it'd be so much of a problem if you had the tv going or some music.
The trainer is very stable when you have a block under the front wheel and you can easily fold it away and stick it in a cupboard or a bed so it's quite convenient."

Great trainer
"Excellent trainer, bought on special offer from wiggle and delivered within 3 days. Range of resistance is excellent and very convenient being able to use the bike gears to control the resistance. Nice and quiet too when running with smooth tyres. Would definitely recommend it."

Very dissapointed
Cons: Poor Quality, Expensive, Low Quality, Wears Out Easily
"It arrived very quickly, easy to put together up and running in 20 mins.
The overall finish was very rough, poor paint work and bad welding. Stickers were uneven and not on straight. Poor for such an expensive product.
3 uses later it started to rattle, the more I used it the worse it got. I had a nightmare trying to return it. After 30 days it goes back to the manufacturer NOT wiggle.
I had a refund in the end. Very poor quality product. I may have been unlucky?"

Easy to Setup and Great to Use
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable, great free dvd
"First intro in the world of Turbo training and was recommended this by a fellow triathlete. With the later discounts on this was a steal.
Really easy to setup, guidance was pretty clear. However the adjustment onto my back wheel takes a bit of practice. But a quick change of skewers and away you go.
DVD that comes with it is dead cheesy, but a brilliant way to get you into a ride. The American lads on it are typical yeehar cyclists, but nonetheless great to follow.
Am planning on taking this to events this year and using to warm up pre swim."

Solid purchase
Pros: Great Value, Rugged, High Quality
"I considered a turbo as with a child on the way I wanted something that could give me a decent workout in 30-40 minutes at home, and this seemed to be the only answer.
I spoke to Wiggle and considered options, and eventally settled on the Fluid 2. This does exactly what I need it to to so am very happy with my purchase.
It is quiet enough that I can actually watch TV while training, albeit with the volume up (I train in our conservatory with a wall mounted TV against the house partition wall) - and I haven't had any complaints from the wife so it must be OK.
I seem to recall the instructions being pretty pants - but with only about 5 bits it did not take too long to work out how to get it all together. Mounting the resistance unit was far from straightforward though - the L pin does not sit properly and when you start to secure the unit to the frame with the long screw the L pin comes slighly out of it's housing and the resistance unit tilts a touch. In addition the housing which holds the rear skewer and ultimately supports your bike seems to not quite fit like it should do - there is gaps in the side with the quick release which look like it should take the QR all the way into the cone but actually the cone is not wide enough to take it all the way, so the skewer kind of sits just inside. It took a bit of faffing with both of these things to get this to the point where I was comfortable enough to put my bike into it and put weight through the wheels.
Once I was up though all fells very secure and no issues.
I really like the turbo QR to get the bike in and out, dead easy.
I also really like the handle at the back of the resistance unit to put the resistance wheel against your bike wheel - nice touch. So if you leave your bike on the turbo between sessions (which I do sometimes) the resistance wheel is not constantly pressing into your tyre.
All in all a bit fiddly but the pros definitely outweight the early cons."

Good piece of kit
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable
"I looked around and spoke with friends before settling on this turbo trainer. Its relatively light but sturdy and was easy to adjust for the two bikes that are used on it. It will hopefully not get much use this summer but has been excellent for winter training. Bought the riser block as well."

Got a dud
Cons: Poor Quality, Expensive
"I set the trainer up as per instructions and set off on a test run. Immediately there was a rumbling sound from the resistance unit.
The bike was vibrating and the noise was loud, similar to riding over a cattle grid at speed.
I tried different wheels and tyres but the problem was still there. On close inspection of the resistance unit the flywheel and fluid chamber were wobbling by a couple of mm when turning the pedals by hand.
Also the intructions say the the foot of the right leg can be turned to adjust the level. Both of the feet on mine just slide on and off the legs and are not adjustable. Am I missing something?.
Oh ,and the supplied skewer was bent too.
I currently use a Tacx Sirius which is silky smooth and very quite,
think I'll stick with this for now.

Great Trainer`
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable
"My first trainer and it does everything I want and need during the cold and wet winter months when you cannot face going outside. I cannot compare it to anything, but I did my research and the CycleOps got consistently good reviews and I have been very pleased with the results.
It is really easy to set up and it feels very lifelike when riding. You do need the 'chopping block' for the front wheel though, otherwise you ride at a downward angle which is uncomfortable, especially on the wrists. It is really quiet and I have it set up in my front room in front of the TV, which you do not have to turn up very loud.
What I particularly like is that the resistance is governed by your bike's gears - there is no need to use a separate level-setting device, just pedal away moving up and down the cassette to set your interval training. And you get a great workout too - an hour on one of these things certainly gets your blood pumping and the sweat pouring, all whilst watching TV or listening to your iPod.
Highly recommended for winter training!"
