poor quality stiching
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Poor Quality, Wears Out Easily
"Quality: After the first week the stiching near the wrist glove was coming undone. Not happy.
Thinkness: Glove feels nice and velvety-ishon my hand. My old gloves were much thicker, and I was worried these were too thin when i first gor them, but no blisters on my fingers yet - I think I'll stick to thinner gloves from now on.
Grip: simliar to the thickness comments, my old pair had quite a lot of grip and these ones don't, which worried me a bit. But so far so good & getting used to the new gloves, although I would still prefer more grip.
Warmth: good enough. My hands still got cold at about 5 degress and below, but those mornings aren't too often and I find I warm up in general pretty quickly, so it's not a big deal."

Not what expected
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Unadjustable
"Read previous reviews, thought gloves would suit Aussie winters, temp get to 3-4 degrees C. First day 5 degree C, fingertips were numb 5k into ride......not a winter glove, an Aussie winter anyway..."

Good value
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: beware altura sizing
"To advertise as a Winter glove is not helpful. However these are just what I was looking for-a lightweight Spring/Autumn glove and are good value. Not much padding but it usually punctures too easily so I am pleased with them.
BUT beware of Altura sizing.I usually wear a Medium size.I have three pairs of Altura gloves. An old pair in Medium is a good fit. This pair in Medium were too big..And another pair of Winter gloves in Medium are too small but I've used them so it's too late to change them.
I've bought a second pair in small and they are a good fit.An expensive way to buy cheap gloves !

Warm pinkies
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"There are winter gloves for my son. It's a little too cold at the moment for his fingerless bikking gloves.
Alex (9) says, "They fit me excellently, they look awesome, they keep my hands ultra warm, but they could do with a little bit more grip on them."
Alex reckons he could wear these when running also.
Altura, nuff said."

Good Quality Spring/Autumn Glove
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: Limited Color Choices, Not Enough Features, Not Enough Padding
"Good quality, nice looking and great fitting glove. Not the warmest and wouldn't recommend them for anything below 3 degrees C. Could do with some padding on the palms and they're not the grippyest gloves but great for the price. Good for spring/autumn conditions. Haven't tried them in the wet yet so don't know how they'll hold up when they get soaked."

Not a winter glove, pure folly.
Cons: Poor Quality
"Within five minutes of a four hour ride I could not feel my fingers. I bougt a second pair of glove to wear under the Altura and my fingers were still numb. I have tried to wear them a few times for shorter rides in warmer temperatures but they still fail to protect the fingers. Dissapointed as I have been please with Altura products in the past. I would not try to cut costs in this area again."

Rename as Autumn/Spring Gloves
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit
Cons: Unattractive
"Tight fitting gloves, definitely go for slightly bigger size than normal, although I prefer the tighter fit and feel.
Not really useful in winter conditions, tried in close to freezing (2c or 3c) and fingers were frozen within 5 minutes on the bike.
As temp as gone up found them to be very good. Lack of padding could be a problem on longer rides, especially if you are used to either mits or normal winter gloves.
Grips on the palms and fingers are fine to give a good hold, but a bit Shirley Bassey in style, bit too shiny.
Overall I would recommend these gloves for Autumn/Spring Temps, something over 5C."

ok but not warm
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, Lightweight
Cons: not very warm for 'winter' gloves
"These gloves are a great fit and look good, and they're fine for normal cycling, but in really cold weather (less than about 3 degrees) they are not very good at keeping your hands warm.
I wouldn't describe them as Winter gloves, more like Spring ones. They are very thin material, and fine for "coldish" weather, just not freezing conditions."

Great multipurpose gloves
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"I bought these gloves for my wife and she loves them, she uses them when running and when we are out on our MTB's.
They are light, yet do a great job of keeping the wind and cold out."

Altura Strada Stretch Winter Cycling Gloves

"I bought these gloves as a Christmas present for my cycle mad daughter and unfortunately the seam split after just the 3rd use. They don't appear to have been made very well and I am in the process of returning them to Wiggle."

Though it is thin, it is pretty good warmth worth.
Pros: Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight
"Operability is good.
Because there is not a pad, you should wear it on a glove for summer.
I was able to use temperature to around 5 degrees centigrade without a problem."

Good mid-season gloves
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, Lightweight
Cons: tad short on the wrist collar
"Supper comfy, light-weight gloves for cool mid-season riding. For temperatures between roughly 5 and 15 degrees, this thin, strech material is perfect.
The price is acceptable for the product, though just a tad on the high side 8-9 € would be ideal.
The length of the glove up the wrist would be more comfortable if there were an extre couple of centimeters.
Beyond these minor nags, I'm satisfied with these gloves and will use them 'till they are full of holes - usually a good couple of years."
