"I bought these to replace some no name calipers. These 105s are very even and consistent in their progression. This translates into great confidence when the speed is above 50 km/hr. Solid construction and the matte black finish is very nice."

Good to have several allen bolts of different lengths included.
Surprisingly better braking than the 10 year old 105 I replaced with it!"

"I upgraded the Sora brakes on my Specialized Allez to these 105, straight swop, and they're great. I did buy swissstop green brake pads as well, the braking power I get now is much better. These 105 are very good quality, and great value for money."

"I recently purchased the Shimano 105 Brakes as an upgrade to the ones that came as standard on my Specialized Sectuer. They are definately an improvement in terms of braking power and have given me a lot more confidence in my stopping ability.
Really easy to fit and adjust.. took about 10 minutes.. A worthwhile upgrade as the first thing to change on the bike."

excellent brake

"Got a great deal in the sale on this front brake, it was easy to fit, looks very nice in the black finish and provides great stopping power. The single drawback I encountered when fitting is in the length of the drop, could of done with an extra millimetre or two of adjustment on the pads."

"This was bought as an upgrade to the non branded brakes which came with my girlfriends bike. Un-branded brake had soggy braking, poor response and adjustability. For the price, 105 is the best choice for the regular rider who wants performance but not the price tag of ultegra or dura ace. They arrived promptly, excellent service as ever from wiggle, simple to fit, only an allen key required, and adjustment was straightforward. The 5600 series brake pads have a toe in angle, which is supposed to reduce squeal. While I'd agree with that, I think compared to the older 105s I have on my road bike, the bite takes longer to achieve by pulling on the brake lever, but when there braking is extremely powerful"

"The weak point on my wife's Le Mond Tourmalet has always been the brakes - poor quality and inconsistent performance. I decided to fix the problem and complete the 105 Groupset by adding 105 brakes. I should have done this ages ago. They are easy to fit, nicely engineered and work strongly and consistently. No more complaints from the household CEO and great service as ever from Wiggle."

"caliper brakes with a replaceable cartridge makes this product an easy decision along with a good price and free delivery to Canada! Adjusting pad alignment is easier than cantilever brakes and once you've done it pads are easy to replace without loosing alignment."

"My bike has most 105 components but it was missing the 105 brakes. I have installed them now, as the rest of the components were 105 it is easy to install, adjust and looks good. Taking them out for a spin they feel good and it is good to know I have a quality pair of brakes if I ever get in trouble."
