SRAM PC951 9 Speed Chain

The PC-951 is our most economical PowerChain while still maintaining our high standards of quality. Like all Power Chain II chains, the PC-951 uses Chrome Hardened rivet pins for increased durability. The PC-951 uses grey coloured plates, as well as our PowerLink closing system.

Always used SRAM chains and always will
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality
"Been using SRAM over other makes for years. They last well, change well, are easy to split and join and I've never had one snap (I don't generally used the connector link). Highly recommended."

Good quality. Simple & clean to fit
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit
"I bought this to replace a 3 year old original from my Trek 7.6. I do about 200k a week so the original was in tatters!
I was a bit put off by the connector link but it went on easy and appears to be holding up well so far. I dont miss the messing with the chain spiltter.
I replaced the cassette at the same time but maybe should have done the chainset also. It jumps gears occasionally.

Easy on, easy off
Pros: Great Value, Good Fit
"Bought this to replace a worn Shimano chain, went SRAM because I'd been told the powerlink made life easier. By jove, they were right.
Popped off some links using the standard tool method then feed it through and put the link in place. Realised I'd not fed it through the mech properly, so just removed the powerlink and did it properly. Was an absolutely nightmare to remove until I discovered "the trick" (pinch it inwards as you slide the link).
Now I can pedal safe in the knowledge that my grubby old chain isn't eating away at my 105 cassette. Hurrah!"

Awesome chain
"Awesome chain for the money.
Used a few on various bikes and they've lasted well over 2000 miles.
Great link as well that's easy to take off so you can remove the chain for cleaning.
Doesn't get much better, especially for the price."

Great value and quality
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
""Like all SRAM products this is well engineered and great value. Bought with new cassette and feels great., Seems durable and will have to see how long its lasts as I do abuse drivetrains. Easy to fit with powerlink.""

plenty of length!
Pros: Great Value, powerlink
"for a good value chain it seems to be spot on. no problems with length adjustment - just removed about 3 complete links.
comes with it's own powerlink - which is a bugger to open but easier than using a chain tool to remove the chain for cleaning.

excellent purchase
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit
"I've used other manufacturers' chains with their so-called easy to join links but have found that they're not as easy to join as the instructions suggest. Without a doubt the Sram 9-speed chain and its connector are the best I've ever used. It gives a nearly instantaneous connection with a very satisfying click. I have no reservations in recommending this chain."

Incredible value
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality
"Having snapped a number of Shimano chains, bought one of these and have never looked back. The chain is easy to fit with the powerlink and shifts beautifully. It has also proved to be very durable lasting two UK winters commuting along very dirty county lanes. Unless looks or weight are big issues to you there is no need to spend more."

it's a chain
Pros: Great Value
"Does what it says on the tin, nothing flash but (touch wood) reliable to date. Done about 300 miles on it so can't comment too much on longevity yet.
Quicklink is useful"
