Pelvic Protestations

"First of all a small confession; I do not nor am I ever likely to own a bicyce - all that pedalling just seems like too much hard work, but respect to those that do! I do however ride a sports motorbike which is great for a quick scratch throught the countryside, but there is a price to pay if you dare to venture out longer than a couple of hours. The seat has about as much padding as Keira Knightley on a diet, so on longer journeys (particularly on motorways) it soon starts to feel like a jack-hammer pounding your poor pelvis, a cruel and agonising torture that would make even Jack Bauer blush!! I love my bike but after riding all the way from Manchester to Switzerland I couldn't sit down for the best part of a week!! I even considered checking my behind into Dignitas!!
Step in the wonder shorts; discreet (under biker gear at least), well made, good design and very comfortable, they offer much needed padded support (i.e. shock absorbers) which soaks up the worst of the ride and allows me to travel much longer between stops. They didn't remove the pain completely, so perhaps they could add a bit more padding, but overall they've gone a long way to rescuing the terminal relationship I had with my pelvis, and put the mountain passes of the Alps within opiate free reach at last!!
An essential purchase!!"

Why didn't I find out about these earlier!

"Over the years I have been increasing my cycling distance and frequency. This has lead to problems with comfort. First it was the hands, which was solved with padded gloves. Then came the "bottom". As I was looking around the Wiggle web-site I came across the padded undershorts, so I decided to give them a try. I ordered one, and started to wear it on my rides. It was a very good fit, and did a fantastic job of preventing problems by cushioning the area and wicking away the sweat.
I was so impressed with them, that I ordered three more straight away.
Over time the padded area does squash down a bit, but to a level which still offers great comfort, and nearly a year later, are still in great condition.
Ok, now the boring information. these shorts need to be washed at 30 C, WITHOUT bleach or fabric softener.
Overall these shorts have been a great buy, making cycling so much more enjoyable. I can't recommend them enough."

"These shorts fitted me perfectly and can be worn under any regular clothing. The fit is excellent and marginally softer pads than the ones used in many lycra versions actually is more comfortable.
I bought one to try out and am so impressed that will be buying a few more!"

"Fantastic undershorts - I combined with dhb finchdean bib shorts straight out of the box and onto a 70+ mile ride. The undershorts kept me comfy and felt as though I could have done another 70 miles had my legs been up to it. I don't understand why dhb are discontinuing these. Get them while you can."

"Good comfy shorts.I debated over the size and went for medium using the size guide I am waist 34 but I think the larger size may have been a better choice(this may be due to my body shape) but having saying that I am used to them now and they work for me.The material is very nice and the padding suits me."

Just the job

"These shorts are great for going under "normal" everyday clothes and non-cycling shorts. I bought a similar pair some time ago and unstitched the grippy leg elastic, but this later version does not have the leg elastice, the legs are properly hemmed and are are more comfortable."
