good heart rate monitor
Pros: Great Value, Adjustable, Lightweight
"What is an important thing to talking about the entry commodity? It is a price and a simple function. This both fills it. As for the heart beat check by the sound, it is useful, and because the bicycle mount is possible, the display is also convenient though I am using for the dieting purpose."

Reasonable buy
Pros: Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices, quality control not good
"Very good, until I'd used it for 31hours and 46minutes, it stopped recieving information from the transmitter. I put a new battery in the transmitter unit, still didnt work unless it was within about 1cm of the wrist unit, whilst playing with it I noticed that if I moved the light button on the wrist unit that it started to work again, I took the back off and made sure the electronic module in the wrist unit or watch was located properly; It wasn't, it is now and so far is working fine again, if you buy this unit and it stops working, pop the back off the watch jiggle it about and see if that does the trick, it certainly did with mine.
Overall except the one small "glitch" quite pleased with it for the money, good introductory heart rate monitor."

Excellent value
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable
Cons: Unattractive, poor instructions
"I wanted a HRM to go with my iphone cycle tracking app, and so took a punt on this cheap HRM.
It's fantastic value for money. The chest strap is comfortable, I forget I'm wearing it. The watch has lots of functions and is great that it can be attached to the handlebars. The one thing I'd say is that the instructions are terrible!
If you're looking for a cheap HRM, you won't go wrong with this one."

Ok
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Overall pretty good. Once you take the time to understand instructions it is reasonably easy to use. Limited but very handy features. Random readings and sometimes seems unrealistic. Very good value for money."

I dont like
Cons: Expensive
"I am very disappointed
1. The pulsemeter doesn't work properly. When I am running there isn't pulse in monitor
2. The numbers of the screen are tiny.
3. The instructions are difficult to understand because of technical English used.
I'm thinking to resold it and buy a new one."

A good buy, however.....
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Poor Quality, Wears Out Easily
"I have had two of these watches/HR monitors now. I have been drawn by the price and over all they are extremely good. If like me you just want some thing to tell you your HR, maybe a few other fancy features and for the treadmills etc to pick it up, then great.
However, a word of caution. Both my previous watches have steamed up. The display goes foggy and gets condensation in it. Maybe this is because I wore it in a sauna, but it has steamed up in the shower as well.
I tend to wear the watch every day, and it does seem to scratch easily.
For those less idiotic than me, it might be fine."

Good, until it broke!
Pros: good price
Cons: transmitter stopped working
"I was pleased with this purchase and it worked will for a while but slowly the heart monitor transmitter produced more and more incorrect info. I tried different placements of the monitor, making sure it was tight across my chest, etc, etc, but to no avail. Sometimes the re-jigging would make it work, but then a few minutes later i'd look at the monitor and it would be wrong again."

Simple and effective
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Unattractive
"I found the set up and explanation of the functions a little confusing, but with use it has proved very useful and reliable. Also it is easy to alter the settings should you need to change your training goals."

Hit and miss
Cons: Poor Fit
"This is a poor quality product, hardly worked at all whilst running and very hit and miss whilst cycling. The watch strap broke after a month or so, I'm afraid you get what you pay for. Avoid!"

Good to get you started
Pros: Great Value, Rugged
Cons: Poor Quality
"My first one went straight back as the buttons were too sensitive and then it simply stopped working. The replacement has been very good for the last year. Occasionally it will hang for a few minutes when running, but when cycling it's always been perfectly reliable. It's ideal for a beginner, but for more experienced athletes it will probably be a bit frustrating."

Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor Quality
"The Unit has not picked up the signal with any consistency.
After 10-15mins into the ride HR does not display.
The digits and face of the unit are too small to read.
Very disappointed as it came recommended.
Cheap in Price and cheap in quality"

Decent entry level
Pros: Great Value
"Was happy with this product, unfortunately got it wet and that was the end of it...
Decided to upgrade to a Polar when replacing, which is a much better product; though clearly much more expensive.
Would consider getting another if I was on a tight budget, however if you have the money, I think the Polar's are worth the extra - the chest straps are way more comfy."

Disappointing
Cons: Bulky, Low Quality, Not Enough Features, Poor Fit, Poor Quality, Unattractive
"Well it's cheap, what did I expect?!
Unfortunately this doesn't work very well. It struggles to pick up a signal. When it does I'm either at my resting HR or working at about 170 bpm...
The watch itself is uncomfortable and rigid. There are very few functions. There's not even a lap-counter.
Buy something better"
