Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"If you need the best rack, this is it. The mounting system is extremely sturdy (solid aluminum rod connects the rack with the seat stay mounts). It's not as easy to mount as it could be, but once it's mounted, you can load up the rack and the rack will take the load. This rack allows you to load your bags way back so that there is not possibility whatsoever of heel strike. All the hardware is quality, and the stainless steel looks great even after a year of use."

Bombproof
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"Very tuff, and lightweight considering. When carrying a lot of luggage, you need to know your rack is up to the job. It is expensive, but a cheap rack will soon seem like a false economy when it lets you down in the middle of nowhere."

Excellent purchase that was easy to install
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"The quality of this product is excellent and very ergonomic for fitting different panniers to, I also like the ability to accessorise the rack as well with lights and a pump holder. Construction is lightweight and welding is high quality. The rack was very easy to install and took five minutes in a lunch break at work. Great product and very practical, looking forward to many long trips with it. For commutes with pne bag you don't even notice the load due to the racks balance, positioning and structure."

"a very nice rack, well build and strong. its clearance is enough for a 28" or 29" bike wheel so it is a bit high for my 26" wheel bike."

high end
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"This is a great mudguard, it's beautiful, light, sturdy. I had some troubles fitting it, though since the bike frame was designed to fit higher ones. It's also fairly short, giving no choice of where fitting the panniers. I tried it on the road only once, for a 50 miles day trip and it performed as expected, however i wish my feet were not so close to the panniers."

Perfect touring rack
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: only comes in silver
"This rack is the perfect balance for the fully loaded touring cyclist. The middle horizontal bar is good for mounting your rear panniers, providing a secure mounting location that keeps the clasps from moving back & forth. The top platform remains clear for your trunk bag or for bungey-cords to tie down your tent and sleeping mat. The rack is relatively light but extremely sturdy. Great product."

なかなか秀逸なラック Good Rack !

Great rack - however issues fitting it.
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
Cons: Expensive, Poor Fit, lack of fitting parts
"As per title. The rack is fantastic. It is very light, sturdy, well built and looks a treat. However i have had a lot of issues properly getting it mounted onto my aluminium city bike due to thick tubing on the seat stays which causes the rack to not be level the lower strut is jammed against the seat stay tube!
If tubus added in some longer bolts and more a few different width spacers this could probably be avoided. Instead I have to go and track down some 22mm or longer bolts and suitable washers to try and bend the rack wide enough to get around the seat stay tubes, as at the moment the rack is sloping backwards.
So tubus really needs to add more spare fitting parts to the kit please, they put in 10mm bolts which are totally useless and too short and only 2x 18mm bolts! They should instead have 2x 12mm, 4x 18mm, 2x 20mm and 2x 22mm bolts, as well as a variety of spacers, not just the two 14x6mm ones. I really need a few 14x10mm to get enough clearance."

Great Rack
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Good Fit
"Upgraded to this rack a few months ago from the aluminum Old Man Mountain Cold Springs rack. My wife and I use racks for daily commuting and an annual touring holiday of between 4 and 5 weeks. Having worn out a few OMM racks in the past, we wanted something more durable, thus opted for the Cosmo. Can report that after a few months of commuting, and a 5 week tour through Europe, the rack is not showing any signs of wear. It feels very sturdy on the back of the bike, more so than the OMM. We also purchased the disc brake conversion kit, but don't use the extended quick release, preferring to mount the rack directly to the eyelets on the bike. We needed to add some spacers between the rack connection points and the bike so that the disc brakes could be cleared. This resulted in a slightly more complex setup, but now that it's on, there are no problems at all. This is a great rack."

Well made but tight fit
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Poor Fit
"Impressed with build quality and ease of fitting. Only drawback was that it was too tight a fit for my Scott Roadster and I had to get plastic spacers to keep the bottom of the rack from scratching the frame."

"I didn't find this rack too difficult to install, especially after I read the instructions. It comes with stainless steel fittings and once all the bits are in place this is a rock solid rack."

Outstanding Rack
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile, Good Fit
"The adjustability of the rods to attach to the seat stay eyelets makes fitting very easy. It is also a very strong attachment to complete the high strength of the rack itself. Weld quality is excellent and the protected rear light fitment is great to save regular issues with broken lights.
In use the lower attachment rails design definitely stops for/aft sliding of panniers and allows full use of the top space of the rack to attach other items.
The stainless steel material means no wear marks have occurred at the pannier attachments."

Way to go - stainless steel
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"After using aluminium racks for touring for years and suffering breakdown of the racks on surfaces like Australia's Birdsville Track I decided to try the Tubus stainless steel Cosmo rear rack. I have always replaced my pannier rack clips with home manufactured aluminium rack clips as none of the manufacturer's plastic hooks stand up to the rigours of touring.
With the Cosmos being stainless steel any equipment wear now manifests itself on the rack clips (which are easily replaced) as aluminium is softer than stainless steel. The Cosmos has the added advantage of a plate welded to the base of the two vertical rack bars which gives extra strength compared to most racks which connect to the bike via a single vertical rack bar. The second horizontal rack bar which is welded in a lower position enables panniers to be loaded with a lower centre of gravity which enables better riding dynamics.
The Cosmos also looks great.

great heavy duty rack
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: weight
"I believe there are two reasons to buy a tubus rack: either you are looking for something suitable for loaded touring or you want to buy a rack that will never break. If you are only going to use a rack lightly then you have other lighter (aluminum), cheaper (pletscher), or prettier (nitto) options. That being said if you want to buy one and only one rack and you don't want to spring for titanium, I'd go with this one.
It might be a bit heavier then the chromoly tubus rack, but it isn't black and it has an extra set of rails that allow you to mount the panniers lower for added stability (plus you've got more access to the flat rack surface for easier stacking of gear). I tried out both mounting positions with my ortleibs and I was able to notice the difference in bike handling. All in all it is a really nice looking rack (the finish is a matte silver but if that matters maybe you should look at something that isn't a touring rack) that will probably never break and is awesome for loading some weight onto it."

Great rack
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable
"The Tubus Cosmo is a great rack with plenty of adjustment. I've fitted it to my GT Transeo Ultra, and needed the Tubus Rear Rack Extension kit for it to fit perfectly. I think you should always buy the extension kit if you buy a Tubus rack - it's worth the effort."
