Excellent front rack
Pros: Rugged, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"Bought for my touring bike to fit Vaude panniers. Replaces a set of Blackburn low riders. The Tubus is very slightly heavier than the Blackburn, but fits very neatly and quickly and feels absolutely solid. The Vaude panniers fit beautifully; I had to modify the Blackburn rack to fit them and even then they rattled on rough surfaces.
Overall, very pleased."

It fits
Pros: Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: a bracket on the hoop for a light would be nice
"I ride a Surly Big Dummy cargo bike, you'd think that a bike built for heavy loads would take a front rack easily. Not a chance, those fat Surly forks are too wide for most racks, the bolt points are hard to reach. However the Tara lowrider is very adjustable and bolted on just fine. The hoop sits a little forward than it would on most other bikes but that makes it look stylish on my bike. Six bolts and stick on some of the supplied tape to protect the paint and you're done, the rack solid and ready to roll.
And the advantage of a lowrider is that unlike a full front rack it doesn't inhibit the action of the fork or transmit road shock directly to the fork crown. The ride is smooth.

Tubus Tara
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Adjustable, Good Fit
"A solid touring front rack. Easy to install, simple and effective. It's not the lightest rack, but it's sturdy. The paint coating wears off fairly quickly from pannier contact points, but nothing to write home about. You can easily spray paint over those spots. I have a Tubus rack for the rear of my touring bike as well. I am very pleased with both. They will see a lot of use for commuting, and loaded touring.
Thanks!"

Rock Solid Quality Lowrider.
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight
"They are not cheap, but I don't think it's a negative point.
Because you get a Strong, Light and durable Lowrider that will carry all the weight you could wish to carry at the front without issue.
It comes supplied with all the fixings and spacers needed for a fork with mid point braze ons [a kit to mount to forks without is available as an extra] and once fitted, thanks to the hoop, is absolutely rock solid."

Bomb proof low rider
Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Bulky
"I went for the Tubus Low rider front rack based on the recommendations of others and I was not in any way disappointed. I needed a low front rack for a cycle tour in India. The tube is thick and robust, absolutely rock solid and gave me a lot of confidence on the tour. I think also, that it looks quite nice, especially in black. Its basic design made it simple to assemble and attach to my bike. I put it together and had the panniers on within 20 minutes. My touring bike has disk brakes but there was absolutely no problem, it fit perfectly. I would most definitely recommend this product."

Tubus Tara
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
"This front carrier from Tubus is well known by tour cyclists to be one of the most reliable front racks ever built.
I have traveled more than 5000 miles on fully loaded tours, rugged roads and never had problems using it.
If i would mention the best quality of this rack, it would be that is 100% reliable, and that is exactly what you need when you are in the middle of nowhere, where the minimum is the least you need.
A real work horse."

Very nice rack
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Poor Fit
"Great rack...strong and simple. Super solid and stable even over rough roads. The rack doesn't come with the straphooks for panniers with hooks at the bottom.
Had a minor issue with the fork mount hole size.. Contacted Tubus about this and was advised that drilling out the rack's mid-fork mount to the next size up (5mm->6mm) would not compromise structural integrity. Definitely worth the few minutes with a drill!

Nice rack but fixings not supplied
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
Cons: fixings not supplied
"The rack is good quality but at this price I would expect the correct fixings to be supplied so I can fit it to my Cannondale T800 touring bike."

Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"This rack is absolutely superb! It's very easy to fit (it took a novice like me no more than ten minutes), it's lightweight and yet has a pretty decent carrying capacity and the plastic spacers provided mean that the rack (or the the attached panniers) don't interfere with the wheels (which I have had happen in the past). Compared to other racks it is perhaps a little on the expensive side, but in my opinion well worth the money."

Really simple and good
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"Fits great on my fork. Feels really solid and that it should keep for ages. The downside is that you obviously need some other hooks from Tubus (Art.-Nr: 30013) if you use Ortlieb classic front roller for them to snap securely...it is also quite expensive for a bent steel tube"

Strong, stable rack
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: needed slight modification to fit
"Well made rack that is rock solid. I purchased the silver colored version which is not available in the U.S. It looks good with the silver (non-Tubus) rack that I have on the rear."

Excellent touring quality front rack
Pros: High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive, Unadjustable
"Excellent build quality, simple design, built to last. First choice for a built to last long distance touring rack.
Possibly a bit limited in its adjustment options so make sure that the position of the top strut will match the braze-ons on your forks.
