Great light for all the family's bikes
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight, Versatile, compact, no need for bespoke mount
"Not needing it's own unique mount is a godsend. I have 3 of these that I give to wife/children and use myself when needed.
easy to take off and put on.
Very bright.
Last ages.
2 settings - all you need - flashing or constant.
A great bit of kit."

Simple & Effective

Pros: Great Value, Adjustable
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"This is a very simple & effect bicycle front light. As Singapore roads are well lit, I just need a simple light to tell other road users I am here.
It's not very bright but I don't need it to light my way home.
The bracket shown is not the same. The bracket that came with my purchase is much better & more secure."

Top notch front led
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
"This is a really good light, nice and bright. Not sure about the run times as I've only been using it a month (the cheap batteries you get with it don't last that long) but put good quality ones in and they seem to be lasting quite a while. Build quality of this light is really good as you expect from Cateye, it's nice and compact and the switch is easy to use, without it being so sensitive that it will get turned on by accident when it's in your bag etc. Two modes, flashing and steady, it's bright enough to be seen and bright enough to help light the way when there's no street lighting. Put a couple of these on the front of your bike and you've got no worries."

Acheived planned obsolescence. Flimsy, stupid.
Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, not overbuilt
Cons: Low Quality, Wears Out Easily, built to break soon, no side light
"The light coming from this bike light is adequate or even good for a "be seen" (as opposed to "see the road") battery operated handlebar light. It is quite waterproof, and it's magnetic switch works well. Although the side lighting is so dim as to raise the question of "why bother?".
OK, that said, it is stupifyingly poorly built. My light stopped working after 5-6 battery replacements. The main problem was the internals- the "head" that contacts the batteries inside. The contacts are thin little metal clips that distort easily- and are impossible to re-bend into the correct conformation to make the light work again. The contacts are housed on a super-flimsy plastic disk that is attached by a little plastic post that is designed to break. And the force needed to remove the waterproof cap will insure that it WILL break. And on the other side of the disk, the contacts that feed the LED's are tiny dots- requiring perfect contact alignment that is impossible with the bendable contacts.
All said, a decently adjustable light, built to break soon. Flimsy, poorly designed innards. Planned obsolescence has come to bike lights. There are so many better lights. that are cheaper, and even brighter.

Still a great little light.
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive
Cons: Unadjustable
"Have a number of the older versions of this light, and I have to say I prefer the older system whereby you could detach and reattach the light in any position. Now it has the standard fixed attachment which for some may be an improvement, but doesn't suit my needs quite as well."

for lit roads
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"I would recommend this light only for lit roads - wouldn't want to use along country lanes at night. A piercing little light to let other road users know you're there though."

Be wary if you need to use other bikes..
Pros: Great Value
Cons: Wears Out Easily, versatility
"Good light but the bracket is not easily portable and wiggle do not stock a spare, if you have more than one bike then go elsewhere.
I am not a fan of the way the light clips onto the bracket, a little fiddly and you are relying on a very small clip to not wear over time to keep it all hanging together. On a positive the light has a nice form factor, if you cycle/camp then this doubles as a very comfortable handheld torch.
Apart from the lack of portability it is good for the money, I use this on solid beam with the SL110 on flashing and for town and suburban riding lights up the roadway enough, including riding on unlit side roads.
I bought this for battery longevity and portability (1 out of 2 isn't bad) and it does last a long time on standard beam compared to similar priced and spec'ed cateye products.
Wouldn't buy again, but purely down to the lack of availability of spare handlebar brackets."

Flimsy light
Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Low Quality
"I bought this light and when first putting the batteries in, it fell apart. I then had to carefully put it back together so that the connections work. It puts out good light and was easy to fit. Will see how it goes when i have to replace the batteries. It is much lighter than I thought it would be."

Great priced light
Pros: Great Value, Adjustable, Versatile
"Great light for the price. Easy to fit and gives a good strong light, especially good for cycling down unlit roads around town. The fact that it can also be taken off the bike and used as a torch makes the light very adaptable. I would recommend it to others and may well purchase another when a family member next needs one!"

Great light let down by fittings

Pros: Adjustable, strong leds
Cons: Poor Quality, Low Quality, Wears Out Easily, Poor Fit
"At first I was impressed with the power and the bracket which was an improvement over a previous Cateye model.
However after a couple weeks of use, the clip on the back of the light that clips to the bracket to keep it stationary became loose and fell off on numerous occasions hitting the road at 10-20mph.
This eventually made the unit even looser and resulted in the clip being broken. I had superglued the light and its fitting to the bracket so that it would not come loose again.
This morning, the tiny screw connection that allows the light to move 90 degrees each way came loose and the light fell off afain. This time the switch and back of the light has fallen off, and has deemed the light unusable.
All in all a good light that is let down by its fiddly clip system that works its way loose over slight bumps. Its not the cheapest light out there and therefore I wouldn't expect its parts to fail after 3 months "fair weather" riding.
I would not recommend"
