Excellent purchase for a rear light
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Versatile
Cons: Bulky
"This is a great rear light and I understand why it is popular. It has 2 rows of 5 LEDs and each group of 5 LEDs has 4 modes that can be set independent of the other LED group.
No problem so far, have used it in the rain as well. Bright at night. No problem from Wiggle either.
Can be mounted on a seat post or on a bag.
All in all, great buy"

Super bright rear light
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"I was looking for a very bright 360 degree visible rear light that I could clip to my saddlebag & courier bag as I tend to hop between bikes. This does just the job, is super bright and very well made. Failings of all my previous lights have been constuction and the fact that they focus the light in one direction. This has excellent all round coverage, perfect for on a bag that gets bounced around.
One thing to remember is how bright these things are. If you clip it to your courier bag, ride for a while then walk into the pub, forgeting it's there, you'll blind half the punters. Really freaked my cat out too, bless.
So far, my favourite rear light. Costs a bit, but worth it in the end."

Dont look at the lights....
Pros: Durable, High Quality
"Having killed my previous cateye (not this model) with a whole Winter of water and filth off the road, I decided it was time for a newbie. Read various reviews and all of them pointed to this as being the dogs dangles.
East to fit, and comes with a handy second clip to go on jackets etc if you so wish. Easy to use and SUPER SUPER BRIGHT which is what it is for.
One word of warning, on the box it says dont look right at the light..... I suggest you dont. Red dots in front of my eyes and a bad head for about and hour.
Not the cheapest, but a superb purchase.

Fills me with confidence
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Bulky
"Nowadays I’m more of a poor light to dusk rider but my previous two light offering on my road bike took up a lot of space and I was always wary that neither was bright enough for the inattentive driver.
No such problems with this light. The darker it gets, the better the effect.
It sits happily on the seatpost and in day time gloom I use only one set of LED’s in flashing mode, but at dusk/night, (though rare), or on a busy road, with a quick press of a button I add the steady red light.
Any driver who says they didn’t see this would have to be asleep.
An added bonus is my fellow riders now prefer me to be at the back, for our safety and to avoid the glare, allowing me to gently slipstream along behind!
I also bought the Cat Eye rear carrier mounting to allow me to use the same light on my hybrid with a rear rack.
It is good quality, well made and though a little dearer than other offerings, replaces my three previous, cheaper and somewhat inadequate units.
Other reviewers have commented, including Bike Radar, of the need to check the clamp due to loosing units.
I have had no problems and it clicks firmly into place on both brackets and cannot be removed without operating the release lever.
It is a little bulky but fits the purpose for my needs perfectly.
I carried out extensive market research, O.K., about half an hour on a P.C. actually and found Wiggle to be the best price and who can argue with next day delivery for free!
Unlike shopping at your local, national chain store cycle suppliers, there are no staff urging you to buy the product which gives them the best sales bonus, only to find you are more knowledgeable than themselves when it comes to fitments.

Cateye TL LD1100 Rear Light
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Expensive
"This light is exceptionally bright and not easily missed by motorists (unless they are asleep, on their mobiles, doing their makeup, or just plain not looking, etc!).
It has a number of combinations as a flashing and/or a standing light and is very waterproof. Batteries are easy to change and it comes with the usual clip/braket to fit in most safe positions (but not on the seat stays though - but that gives visibilty issues anyway) on the bike. It's other outstanding feature is that it is visible from the side, something that not all other lights are. Worth the slightly high price.

Great commuter light
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, Versatile
"This is a great light for commuting if you want to be easily seen. The LED's are bright and give out light to the sides as well as the rear - important for pulling out of junctions.
There are 2 sets of 4 LED's, each with four modes that are independently adjustable via rubber coated buttons on the side of the case. Modes are: constant, flashing, random and 'night rider' so you can have a constant light to be legal and a flashing light at the same time to draw attention - if only more front lights did this.
It fits well to the rear seat post and stays put provided you tighten it up properly: the screw was a bit of a fiddle but I am a bit ham fisted so would not put that down as a major problem. Adjustment is easy enough using a screwdriver to adjust height/angle on seatpost and also the 'dip' on the light.
It is not cheap but is is good value and it is worth paying for safety."

The most striking rear light I've seen!
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: not a lightweight light
"What can I say about this light? It's a Cateye for a start so that's a bonus in itself. I bought this to replace my ageing Cateye Multistar, and I am not disappointed. OK, it's not the lightest rear light around but that's not where its strength lies - if you don't get noticed with this, you won't get noticed with anything! The two-tier light arrangement is a great idea and the combinations of light patterns is well thought out, for instance you can have one row lit constantly and the other following a pattern, or both rows on the same pattern or different ones. Cateye appear to have made the timing slightly different on each row and this is effective because if both rows show the same pattern they fade in and out of sequence, making the light more noticeable. If the timing was the same, on some combinations from a distance it would look like just a single row of lights. The quick release clamp is sturdy and well made and I have experienced no problems with it at any time, never coming loose. Each of the rows of LEDs is controlled by a push button switch, pressing each time goes through the sequence - flash, constant, 'knight rider' running light, 'random' effect, off. In fact, my only minor but slightly hilarious niggle with the light is actually switching it off! Unless you look at it carefully it's hard to tell which row is doing what after each button press, such is the aura of flashing lights, especially if looking at it backwards from the saddle. Sometimes I have to toggle through the functions several times to get both rows off! The ultimate rear light - get one! You only need one!"

A real eye-ball burner
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: not easy to synchronise flashes in both rows
"No longer made which is a pity because it is both cheaper and brighter than Cat Eye's current top model rear light. The only reason someone might have for not seeing you with this light, is that they have already been blinded by someone else with the same light. Fantastic in flash mode in all daylight conditions. Come next winter, though, when darkness returns, I will only use one row of lights; two really is dangerous overkill."

Good for commuting
Pros: Versatile, bright
"A good bright rear light. The only negative being that you have to scroll through the modes for each row of lights rather than it saving your last setting.
Some might find it bulky/heavy but this is not an issue for my commuter bike."

Surprisingly bright
Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
"Having looked at a wide variety of lights and seeing the range of prices, I thought that this might not be one of the brightest but as long as I could be seen I would be happy. It was easy to fit and easy to work, I accidentally looked into it whilst it was on and I realised how bright it was when I couldn't see properly for a few minutes after. It has given me full confidence that I will be seen from the back. I don't yet know how long it will last and now the clocks have changed I won't get to see how long the batteries last but for the type of cycling I do and the amount of time I spend biking in the dark it is more than sufficient. I mainly got it because having got a little lost last summer and on my way home later than expected I didn't want to be caught out in the dark again.
The only problem I have found is turning it off. Because the lights are so bright and work on two seperate buttons, you can't always see if you have switched one bar off if the other bar is still on. But it's a minor issue and I suppose if I counted the number of button presses it would be a lot easier."

A lot of light for the money
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"Great bright backlight, still haven't changed the batteries after three months of riding on the blinking setting. A welcome addition to the "Christmas Tree Lighting" - look when biking in winter. Cars give me plenty of space."

Pros: High Quality, very bright

The ultimate rear light at a reasonable price
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged, High Quality
Cons: Bulky
"This is the best rear light I've ever owned. Easy to stick on your saddle post or attach to a saddle pack (like a TopPeak one for example).
Having two strips of lights which can be configured to flash in two different individual ways really helps.
There is also the bonus that you can see the lights from the side.
It's a little heavy if you're gonna stick it on a roadbike but totally fine if going on a mountain bike or hybrid."

Well worth it
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"Before buying I read quite a few slightly negative reviews, as well as many positive ones. Nevertheless the TL-LD1100 seemed to offer a lot of light for the money and I am glad I bought one.
The things I like are having 2 separately controlled rows offering static and flashing light, and also the side located lights, meaning you can be seen from all angles.
So far have used for a couple of weeks and not a lot to find wrong with it. If you need a decent light with plenty of flashing options, this is the one to have."

Not bad
Cons: Expensive, Bulky, Poor Fit
"Although this light is extremely bright and gives good all round security it sits far too close to the seat tube and therefore you hit it with your legs when cycling. This particular product appeared to have been used before or damaged but Wiggle gave me a refund straight away. If you are clipping it to anything other than your seat post then this light will be fine."

Mega Bright
Pros: Rugged, High Quality
Cons: Expensive, Bulky
"This light would ideally suit a commuter who wants to be seen. On my second one but the 2 rows of 5 LED's that can work independantly of each other is a great feature. With new batteries the side LED's are bright enough to show red dots on houses both sides of a 4 lane street (Bus Lanes)! It's quite bulky but doesn't affect movement if seatpost mounted and can be fitted to a pannier with some modifications. More expensive than others on the market but none have 10 LED's!"
