Good stuff

"Having used a water-based wax previously, this lasts longer and seems more effective in wet conditions. After the first coat, I used a hairdryer to gently melt the wax which allowed it to soak in better. Once cooled, the areas where it had were left dull and so I applied a second coat and repeated with the hairdryer after which the boots had an even shine.."

"I'm very happy with my tin of G-Wax. It was a very good price, delivery was really quick and the product itself works well. Also, the design of the tin lid is good - it seals well and it opens ultra-easily. All my boxes have been ticked, so I'm happy to recommend the product and the supplier to anyone."

Grangers G-Wax

"I wanted a wax that protected my walking boots and have tried some of the other well known products that are available, but wasnt completely happy that some of them were water based and I was unsure if my boots were getting the protection they needed.
What I like about the Grangers G-Wax is that it comes in an old fashioned shoe polish tin, you open the lid and you can see the product and how much is left., I apply the wax with a cloth, ensuring that I can work it right have into the seams and the boots get enough bees wax to nourish and protect, there is no waste, so far I waxed my size 11 boots 4 times and have used about a quarter of the contents.
I am more than happy with the wax, its a good olf fashioned product that works well for me."

Does what it says on the tin
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
"This wax is excellent for waterproofing and protecting my recently purchased walking boots. I just worked it well into the leather (you can polish afterwards if you want) and my feet stay dry even on a pouring wet day. Very good value at this price."

Fantastic waterproofer

"I use it on my leather hiking boots. I recently did a long wet hike over very boggy ground in the Lake district. At the end my boots were muddy but there was no wetting of the leather. Great product."

Grangers Wax

Cons: grangers should make bigger tins than 80g
"Since Nikwax stopped making their wax in tins and now only do sprays, Grangers is the only credible alternative to me for leather hiking boots.
Goes on easily, rubs in nicely to give a good waterproof finish. Does what it says on the tin !"

"With Nikwax discontinuing tins and replacing them with the sort of stuff they try to sell you when you buy a new pair of shoes, it's most refreshing to see that Grangers have not gone down the same route."

"I could not get this product from any local shps, e.g. Blacks, Decathlon, Milletts, tried all the local shoe shops, nobody stocked it. Tried a different brand, Kiwi Sport Dubbin, but found it runny and sloppy. Then managed to locate the Grangers Beeswax dubbin on Wiggle and ordered it It arrived the next day! Made my son's day, as he needed it that weekend for his new golf shoes! Perfect product and great service from Wiggle."
