Memory Map National Parks 1:50k
"This is a good product for the occasional walker which is the reason for the lower 3 stars for me.
I have now purchased the 1:25k of the lake district, its pricey but it has the level of detail that I require.
The program takes time to understand but is more precise and easier to plan and use than the Satmap equivalent, in my opinion."

"This gives the National Parks only. It is easy to use and gives 1:50000 OS maps. You can quite easily plan a route, work out the distance, and also view the route in 3d so you can change your mind when you see how steep the route actuallly is!
Route files are quite easily imported from you GPS and also internet sites.

A fair price for all the National Parks, but I think to buy the whole UK iit would be overpriced."

Great mapping software
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, High Quality, lots of features
"I've always used OS maps when out on hills etc and find them quite bulky. I heard iof memory maps but have found some of their products quite expensive. However, getting all of Britains national parks on 1:50,000 OS for around 25 quid is a bargain. I bought some waterproof paper to go along with it and have since printed out quite a few maps to take with me on days out in the hills. It really is more convenient than carrying a whole OS map, an a4 sheet folds nicely into a standard trouser pocket.
The software itself is great for marking routes and even comes with some nice suggestions for days out. Would definitely recommend this to a friend."
