Worth Chasing
Pros: Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: front light grip needed padding for handlebar
"I had been looking for an upgrade to my rear light for about 2 years - and I mean looking at other cyclists at night in urban traffic. One evening I was dazzled by a passing cyclist who had mounted 2 Smart 317 rear lights at the rear end of his carrier. I compared that light with both passing motorcycles and cars - it stood out from them and easily surpassed any other rear bike light I had seen. This looked like it; so, I sprinted after him and my chase caught him about 2 blocks further on. Like the light, he dazzled out the name and supplier in one sentence of praise and then was gone. I've bought 5 sets so far, the others as Christmas presents."

Cheap and bright
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Lightweight, Rugged, waterproof
"Obviously, at this price, these are not the brightest lights in the world. If you are looking for something to provide enough front light to ride by at speed in total darkness - go up the price range considerably.
If you are looking for something simple to add extra visiblity in poor light these are great. Small and lightweight - easy to stick in your pocket to save them getting 'borrowed'. Easy to fit to the bike and quick and easy to remove. Rear light has a clip that can be put onto belt, pocket, bag etc etc. Both front and rear can be seen from the sides giving 360deg visiblity. Flashing mode on both is great very noticable to drivers.
Seem to be pretty waterproof and rugged - having been in the bottom of my bag for a few weeks now - small and light enough that I don't bother to take them out.
Are brighter than I was expecting for the money, and have the lack of features I would expect for the money - but do the job.
Great for commuting, back up/ extra on road bike, not enough light from the front for MTB -- spend another £100 - £200!!"

A real bargain!
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight
"I liked these lights so much that I came back and got a second pair! Got them at a bargain price in the sale and still cant quite believe it! Having a riding friend who loves VERY early starts, these have come in very handy!!. Easy to fit to the bike, simple to use, I am more than happy with these lights.
Back light works with a simple press of the bottom of the light, handy for when still riding. An easy reach down and gentle pressure is all it takes to work the flashing/constant or off modes.Front is similar but has a larger button located on the top and it is easy to fit to handlebars.
All in all a very good set of lights which I would recommend to anyone."

Simply the best value for money light set
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"This light set is quite simply the best value for money set you will find in any online bike store.
I have these attached to my road bike which is used for the daily commute.
You can tell these are quality by their rugged and sturdy feel. They attach to the bike in a solid manner, failing to budge on any ride - passing even the sternest "emergency-bunny-hopping-the-McDonalds-thick-shake-hurled-at-my-wheels" test.
My daily winter-time commute often embarks before sun-up and returns around dusk or darkness. These lights betray their inexpensive outlay with superb performance, boasting an outstanding dedication to duty and an unwavering blink. There is no degradation of output and battery life will surpass even the loftiest of expectations.
Fulfilling it's primary function, visibility is outstanding when the sun dips below the horizon or where conditions are inclement. The bright output of these lights pierce the gloom to divulge your location to even the most caffeine-deficient road-user.
These lights have great wet-weather endurance, with an ingress protection that would make a submariner blush.
Do yourself a favour, trendsetters, purchase these lights without delay."

Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Great Value, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Low Quality
"Another fine example that good products dont cost the earth. I bought these lights as a secondary light incase I had issues with my Planet Bike lights.
Strangely enough though I have now started using these full time for my commutes rather than my planet bike set. These lights are BRIGHT, easy to fit and release if you need to leave your bike locked up to.
They offer 180' degree light from the front and have a pulse or full beam option both of which are great. It would also have been nice to see a few more flash options on the rear light rather than pulse or on, but again no massive issue.
Battery life seems pretty good and I feel as with most lights I should get 6 Months use from the battery.
The quality of the lights them selves are very good, however I feel the front mounting bracket quality is about 80% of what it really should be.
The lights also look good mounted and seem to react well to the wet weather with no problems thus far.
All in all a great little light set at a cost of almost nothing."

Smart 5 LED Front & 317 Rear Light Set
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, you don't need rechargeable batteries or charger
"The previous set was very good. Front light really bright and an attention grabber in flash mode to make yourself visible to even the doziest driver. Not only a very bright light but the very efficient diodes and electronics use very little current! So the battery should last at least one season - a real bargain. (I thought about getting a charger and rechargeable batteries, but the batteries last so long it's not worth it!)
The previous incarnation of the rear light worked fine, but being all red it wasn't as bright. With the 317 the designers got the perfect compromise. There's a white diode to boost visibility and the red ones not to confuse or blind the driver behind you. This way they can see you a long way off (white diode) and know you're on their side of the road (red diodes). So the drivers no longer have the excuse that they didn't see you.
Your night survival chances have just increase dramatically. So if you're riding late: "DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!!""

Effective & Great Value
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
"Replacement set for previous Smart 5 run over by skip lorry (they still looked good but were a little more oval, if not completely flat)
The front set are as good as ever - bright and visible from miles away. The back light is also extremely bright, in fact far brighter than my old reliable Cat-eye's. Both sets will last a fair old time on a set of re-chargeables, particularly if you use the flashing setting.
All in all a great lighting set at a bargain price."

First Class Wiggle
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
Cons: poor fit (front)
"Amazing first class service from Wiggle, excellent communication and very fast delivery without paying extra premium. Really good back light with good fitting and amazingly bright. Less impressed with the front light due to the fitting as I can't get it to stay in place. Overall pleased with quality and value and well done Wiggle for such unusual good service this day and age."

Bright
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"Got several pairs of these lights now and they are just brilliant. The light from such a compact unit is incredible. They'll certainly get you seen from infront and behind. I've used the front light as a stand alone unit on unlit road/paths but it's not ideal but hey, at this price and size what do you expect. Rear light is super bright and is handy to clip onto backpack/pockets when out on the run too."

Nothing better for the money
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"The rear Superflash light is already an established classic, there is nothing brighter and here it is bundled with a 5 led version of the popular front light, which has both flash and constant light. For the price this is fantastic value for money. The front light is adequate for road use out of town but you'd need something stronger for determined off road use. The rear comes with various bracket options as well as an integral clip to slide onto clothing or straps. The front has a good bracket with a solid snap lock. Both lights are waterproof, small and light enough to keep in a pocket when away from the bike."

Good value set of lights
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value
"Build quality seems to be good with good brackets. Light performance is excellent - much better than Cateye lights I've bought previously.
The lights have one flshing and one constant mode - what else do you really need.
I bought three sets for my family and I'm very pleased with the cost/performance.

Cheap & bright
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, Versatile
Cons: Low Quality, Wears Out Easily
"At this price you're never going to get something that the rain and salt doesn't eventually wreck so you might as well get something that works well for its intended purpose for as long as possible.
Pitch dark singletrack backcountry, no.
Warding off enthusiastic motorists in the rain, yes.

Fantastic value for money
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, bright rear light
Cons: Not Enough Features
"This was a low cost light set for my kid's bike but I was amazed by the power of the rear light, almost as powerful as the cateye TL1100 rear light I have which cost twice as much this set! Front light is adequate to be seen, but obvously you can get brighter for higher cost, but at this price point I doubt you'll get more!"
