"... I suppose if you need one of these, then you need it - end of conversation. I bent mine, this was a replacement and it stops my bike.

Perhaps better advice would be to remember to put your rear skewer in and then you may not need ot buy one !!"

Like for like replacement

Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit

"After a really bad crash that left me with a 2 hour walk back to the trail centre carpark with broken wheels I needed to repalce my wheels. I went for some top spec wheels to carry me (i'm 6'4 and 18 stone) but for the rotor's I just went for a straight replacement because, despite now being bent and used as a unique symbol on my friends drumkit, there was nothing wrong with the old rotor and it's not worth forkign out an extra £10 for something that looks nicer but does the same job when it's all gonna end up covered in mud."

Does the job - you stop when you want to!

"I bought a new wheelset, so needed a new rotor to go with my Avid Juicy 3s. I would always recommend sticking with the original manufacturers rotors - it makes sense to match up the kit as it was designed to be used, especially for something as essential as brakes!

The disk is well machined and I had no issues at all with fitting it to the hub. It may seem expensive for what is essentially a big disk of metal with some holes punched in it, but considering it is helping to keep you in one piece it is essential it works! It does. Recommended if you are running Avid Juicy brakes."

OK if it runs true!

Cons: Poor Quality

"They do the job if you get one that runs true, but beware Avid calipers have a very narrow tolerance and these rotors compound the problem as many of them have a slight warp."

"Had to buy one of these after destroying one in a crash. They work ok but are far too expensive for what they are. Next time I won't be paying as much and will be looking at other brands"

Spare part needed quickly

Pros: Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged

"I bent my rotor while travelling with my bike in a bag on a flight :-( So need a spare for a ride - this was a straight replacement - arrived quickly and was easy to fit with lock tioght pre-applied on the bolts which was a nice touch"
