Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"A neat well made product, had to make a few little adjustments to get it to fit and buy a couple of different fixings - but to be fair something like this is n't going to fit every bike straight off. There are no instructions, which some people might find a problem, but its not that difficult to fit. Overall a really good rack ."

"I had to bend the attachments with pliers in order to get them to match up with my bike. Now it's on it's great - light weight and sturdy."

Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value
Cons: if you need p clips just get the right size...no p
"I was thinking of changing my Focus Black Forest Hardtail to a winter commute, I had already changed the tyres and so decided to put a rack on the back. After hours of thought I opted for this one disc break friendly, with P clips it fit a real treat, all in all it took 17 minutes to fit (sad I know timing it) but I was curious. The fitting for a rear light is bonus.I have another LifeLine rack on my other bike and thats top notch also."

Excellent rack
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
"used for a Ladies GT 08 Avalanche with disc brakes. Fitted really easily. The rack is adjustable so didn't even need to bend the fixing arms. Has a plate at the back to fit your lights/ reflectors. Great vale for money."

Pros: Adjustable, Great Value
"This rack is sturdy, nicely adjustable for different kinds of bikes and easy to install. The only drawback is the small amount of "clinging spots" on the rack. Well worth the money!
I have a Kona Dew Plus with disc brakes, so a "normal" rack just wouldn't fit around the disc brake. On the LifeLine rack, however, you have spacers and moveable sides, so installing it was a no-brainer.
The hindrance is that there aren't too many possibilities for clinging strap hooks (octopuses) on the rack. Basically it's the three bars in the middle of the rack, since the rear is blocked with a reflector holder and the front isn't very useful because of its shape.
I have successfully strapped everything needed so far, so mostly this is not a problem - just an annoying feature.

Simple Functional Neat
Pros: Attractive, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
"Quite simply this is the best rack for the price i have seen. Ok the instructions were missing, but it didnt take much to work out how to put this rack on. Carries 25KG which is more than enough for a rack and holds every bag i own. All in all a great item."

Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value
"Fairly basic, but inexpensive, rack weighing 0.8kg.
Quite adjustable; fitted my disc equipped RoadRat OK, but needed some work trimming bolt lengths etc..
Works fine with my 20l Altura panniers.

on Giant MTB with MPH II Brake
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality
"you don´t need the extra extention for disk breaks. I just mounted the rack without the extensions. With the extensions the rack is much broader. Perhaps you need it with other disk brakes, with the Giant MPH II probably not.
The rack apart is very good."

LifeLine Alloy Disc Brake Rear Rack
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"Top quality bit of kit.
Its a disc break specific rear rack but reverse the stay mounting and the rack fits your non rear disc break bikes too.Its rigid and very sturdy in use.
Bought it for my 700cc wheeled hybrid for carrying my kit on overnight rides. Fully loaded with camping kit my triple panniers sit solid on the rack.
There's also enough room under the rack for my post mounted rear mudgaurd to slide in so there was no need to buy a rack specific mudguard.
Done lots riding on some pretty rough tracks and the rack has stayed solid. All around a cracking buy. A solid bit of kit that does the job really well."

Lacks mountings
Cons: Poor Fit, no fitting instructions
"This was purchased for my misses Cannondale. Because it is a lady specific bike by the time you had attached the bracket to the seat stay the rack was at 45 degrees and no use for a pannier. I had to fashion a piece of channel to make the rack fit. This could just be to do with the bike being a ladys frame but who does a lady specific bike rack??? No fitting instructions either."

Spacers???
Pros: Rugged
Cons: bad design
"Bought this to replace a carrier I had on my last mountain bike that didnt have disc brakes. I had to use spacers on that to get the right fit so decided to buy this one especially designed for bikes with disc brakes. Guess what. Yeah it uses spacer too!!!! I could have saved the trouble buying this and just used the one I already had. I have seen others that dont use spacers and would recommend that type instead."

Nice rack.......
"My bike is hardly a lightweight so this rack goes with it superbly - fitted without any hassle - the incuded spacers make fitting around disk mounts a doddle. It seems very well put together although at the cost of not being the lightest rack i've ever seen so not recommended if your going to get excited about that........."

Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, Lightweight
"You don't see many of these but i have just fitted this life line rack to my full sus Specialiced xc, and amazingly the suspension still works, I needed an M:Part seatpost clamp with a rack mounting for the top and 16mm life line clips for the legs. For the pureists it may be an outrage but as as someone who has an off road commute it was a relief to say good bye to the dreaded backpack sweaty back."

Pros: Adjustable, Versatile
Cons: steel bits could rust
"Racks are never the most beautiful or exciting object with which to adorn your trusty steed. However, they are bloomin useful and practical!
Compared to lugging stuff around in a back pack, a rack will make life a lot easier. the centre of gravity is lower, the weight is off you and held by the bike (seen them guys in India!...you really wouldn't want to carry it on your back!). So the trade off between comfort and aesthetics - the rack wins!
So which rack? When I looked around I wanted something sturdy, competitively prices and black (okay so I can still pose a little bit).
The Lifeline alloy rack is fairly light, and sturdy. It was easy to fit, though the spacers to hold it away from the disc caliper were stupidly long, so got reduced to a third of their length (so you might want to invest in a hacksaw?). Also the piece at the bottom where the two stays meet, isn't alloy - its steel. So can go rusty if you don't look after it.
That same piece has a useful lug, so you can attach a bungy strap, or hook your panniers on.
In all, its pretty neutral...at the end of the day its rack. Mine is in constant use and I've had no issues.
It does what it says on the tin."

Strong rack
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"I have used thic rear rack on my bike for a few weekend trips. It does exactly what it sais on the tin and copes easily with weight on it. It fits over my XC hard tails tyers and mudguards easily and has even withstood the bike being dropped on it."

Great rack
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality
"Bought this to fit to a Cotic Roadrat with disc brakes and have done 3 fully loaded tours without a single hitch. Rack is strong and pretty lightweight, fits easily and has been completely bombproof. Would hesitate to buy another or recommend the rack to others."
