Kenda Tomac Nevegal Mountain Bike Tyre

The Tomac Nevegal with Stick-E rubber compound is ideal due to the soft compound which provides greater traction on rocks and loose terrain

KENDA TOMAC 2.35 STICK-E
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"Big chunky tread pattern gives you great confidence in the bends. When the going is rough and rooty these shrug them off like they weren't there.
I found the rear was slipping when on severe climbs but i solved this by turning the tyre round the other way, if you look at the tread pattern you can see you will get more purchase on the ground this way.
Look at the price, i am amazed you can get superb quality for such low outlay. I recomend you don't faff about and get a pair. Why are you still reading this? Buy them NOW.

Big tyre at a bargain price
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
"I got these to replace the Kenda's 2.35" that were worn badly & kept for way too long on the mtb.
They were about half the usual price I'd pay. My local bike shop didn't have them & I didn't want to drive too far to pay double.
They really are quite sticky, I don't ride hard but have not slipped riding down rocky hills under heavy breaking or on smooth wet rocks during creek crossings.
I was concerned with some reviews stating fast wear but after 5 months on our local tracks with various surfaces there has not been much wear. I dont ride every day but still regular, I've made a point to stay off bitumen roads so maybe thats helped. The tyre pressures are generally 35-40PSI. Overall very happy with these Kenda Nevegal's.

Great front tyre for wet conditions
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile, sticks great!
Cons: Wears Out Easily, high rolling resistance
"The Nevegal 2.5 Stick-EE tyre is a great front tyre for all mountain and single track riding in wet and slippery conditions. The tyre is relatively light for its volume and knobbyness, and the soft rubber and pattern makes it stick really well. Although nothing really sticks to wet roots, this is the best tyre I have tried for those conditions.
It is probably a really great rear tyre too if you have a more careful riding style than I do. I get too many flats with this tyre in the rear. It will wear quickly in the rear though, like any soft rubber tyre."

Great all-arounder for wetting riding climates
Pros: Great Value, Versatile
"This tire has solid grip on wet roots and rocks without being either a slow roller or too heavy. The stick-E compound means great grip, and overall the tire rolls fast enough to be appropriate for XC or all mountain. Wear rates are reasonable considering the soft compound. I typically get 50 rides on a tire. As the tire wears it's mud and soft soil performance declines but it's rock and root performance hold solid. The tires have a large air volume for their size. They let you run low air pressure without too much chance of flatting."

Best tire.
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Rugged
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"I use this up front and I ride rocky/rooted and wet trails. Hookes up on everything. Doesn't roll well but if your looking for low rolling resistance look elsewhere. Highly recommended."

Kenda Nevegal Review
Pros: Versatile
"I've had a few pairs of these now and have found the volume and tread pattern to work really well over most terrain types, especially on loose and rocky trails!
The 2.35" width works great on all but skinny 17mm rims with minimal tyre roll or distortion and provides a nice rounded tyre profile which has a constant footprint through all lean angles.
The 'Sticky-e' compund tyres are absolutely amazing grip wise but shred quickly on the rear, where the DTC's (Dual Tread Compound) jobbies last much longer.
Only real negative is the flimsy sidewalls which are prone to tearing / splitting if you are unlucky enough to snag them on rocks as these normally give out before the tread wears. It's also worth noting that the DTC tyre has thinner walls than the Stick-e's so if you're riding allot of rocky trail-centres / downhill then probably best to go for the thicker and slightly heavier Sticky ones....

Only tire I'll use in back
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"I moved off of Nevegals to High Rollers for a week in Whistler, and went back as soon as I got home. The slightly squared shoulders really help rail the berms, and still be able to climb the slippery slopes."

Smart Choice
Pros: Great Value, Versatile
"This is a nice tyre you can mount front and rear. It sticks you to the ground on corners and rolls quite good"
