"Fantastic pannier. To cut a long story short it ended up in a canal, and amazingly all my kit remained dry!! BRILLIANT!!"

I love this pannier!
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Lightweight
"I absolutely love this pannier! I have another Deuter one that converts into a bag but this one is fantastic as an every day one. It is so light and easy to carry and yet fits so much stuff. It would be great if it had a smaller pocket inside but then again I use it as a 2nd pannier as my Deuter has lots of pockets so it's not necessary for me but might be an issue for someone else. All in all a fantastic pannier, and it being waterproof is just a great bonus!"

Excellent value for money
Pros: Rugged, Good Fit
"Had this pannier for a couple of weeks now. It's very spacious, takes my 13.5 laptop + a change of clothes and waterproofs. Also has a nice zipped pouch inside for stashing your phone and wallet. Great buy for the money."

GREAT PANNIER
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit
"This is a good quality pannier.
My colleague already had one and as my existing one was wearing thin I ordered one from Wiggle, great service as always, arrived in no time and I am very pleased with it.Locking Mechanism works well, part of my journey to work is very rough and my previous pannier jumped off a couple of times-but not this one it stays put!!.

Great bag
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Good Fit
"Great bag. Doesn't clip your heels which is my main positive.
I bought two but they are really spacious, and so maybe only one is necessary for commuting to work!
Clips on and off the rear rack very easily.
The only con is that a pocket on the outside of the bag would be really useful for small items, and it doesn't have one. There is one pocket inside the bag but it's not easily accessible."

Dry and Secure
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Lightweight, secure
Cons: Unadjustable
"My old panniers that I used for commuting to work were really just glorified shopping bags - they hooked onto the rack with just two small, short hooks at the top and another that you hooked at the bottom of the rack then cinched tight. To keep the bag from flying off over bumps I had to cinch it so tight I bent the hooks; so a new bag was called for.
I love the hook system on the Altura product. I recently rode with it loaded over badly patched (and not patched) potholes as well as cobblestones without it shifting slightly. The bag is also very good in the wet. I was caught out in a storm on a recent commute from work (not a shower, more of a deluge) and all my business clothes stayed nice a dry inside the bag. The top has elastic at the edges that must be pulled into place to keep the contents dry, but that is easy to do. The inside has a cord to pull closed giving another layer of protection to the contents.
Only two small complaints. When I use this bag on the left side (when using the laptop bag on the right) I cannot quite get it out of the way of my typical pedal style: not so much hitting it as scuffing/rubbing by it. Also, the interior isn't as roomy as I am used to, meaning that it would not hold a regular size paper grocery bag's worth of items if you used it for a run to the market, so be careful as to how much you buy."

Best all-rounder
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, waterproof
Cons: not cheap!
"Bought for commuting, it is easy to fit and remove, a sturdy build and waterproof. It easily takes a laptop, lunch box and change of clothes. It has an internal tool organiser, pump sleeve and space for a mobile phone.
Not cheap, but well worth the money.

A Good Buy
Pros: Good Fit, High Quality
Cons: Not Enough Features
"I've been using this pannier for a couple of weeks now for my commute to work and some day rides. Its well made and fits comfortably and securely on my bike. Its large enough for some work, and bike gear. My heels don't clip it as they do brief case style panniers. The only drawback is not enough interior pockets to separate things out."

Good bag
"Yep. Pannier. Carries the load on the wife's commuter: laptop, work clothes, lunchbox, the lot. Keeps it dry, gets it there rain or shine. Clips easily onto the Topeak Super Tourist Rear Rack, and stays on securely. Easy to take off. I didn't need to adjust anything, didn't even read the manual. Easy."

Perfect
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"Waterproof, durable, light-weight, easy to carry off the bike, good heel clearance, go-faster-stripes. I've done quite a bit of long-distance touring and these are the best I've used. Could not be more pleased with this purchase or the service I received from Wiggle."

good sturdy pannier
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Not Enough Features
"I purchased the Altura Urban to use for my commute to work and it performs admirably. It fits to rack snuggly and doesn't rattle. Removal is easy. Haven't been able to test how it performs in the rain as yet but seems very waterproof. My only gripe is that there is not a top zip outside pocket for storage of small "quick access" items like keys etc and the pack is a little heavy. Overall though, a great pack."

Altura Urban
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality
Cons: Not Enough Features
"Using this bag for a month now. Mainly use it on my 22km each way commute to work, Easy to attach and remove from pannier rack. Plenty of room for a full set of clothes and shoes. and is completely water proof.
Only issue I have is that there is no zip pocket on top of the bag to hold small items such as keys or phone so to avoid opening the entire bag all the time."

Great visible carrier
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Versatile, sizeable
"I have thankfully not had the opportunity to fully test the waterproofness (and hope I don't) but this is a very solid pannier that I use to carry shoes, suit, shirt and laptop. I appreciate the fact that it isn't too bulky / heavy as my commute to work is 18k each way.
Decent amount of reflective strips allow it to be seen as well!!"

Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged
"You can tell a lot about Altura and this product from the way it's named. There's no waffle here: no 'Nimbus' or 'Streamliner'. Just a nod towards the aspirational with the Urban moniker and the rest tells you pretty much what it is, and what it does.
And in my experience, it does it all pretty well. For Urban, read understated, contemporary good looks (in grey and black, anyway). Personly I'm a country boy, use the bag for a 10 mile commute, and the thing doesn't look out of place amongst the greenery. Dryline translates as pretty darned watertight. I'm sure Altura have measured capacity at exactly 20 litres: in practise this means a complete set of office clothes including shoes, plus shorts, top and microfleece towel for a quick gym workout.
Not covered by the comprehensive title - but worth mentioning - are the cleverly tapered shape, which makes some really useful 'heel room' on a short wheelbase bike like mine. Also the click-fast system of attachment - very fast and very secure."

Sturdy workbag
Pros: Adjustable, High Quality, Rugged
"It does the job - good size to support the daily commute - with enough room for some work clothes, bait and a laptop. Good internal organiser for essential commuter spares (pump, tube, tools) and secure fixing set up."
