lighter than expected
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Lightweight, Versatile
"I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived as it was much lighter than I would have exepected and even lighter than the topeak bag and carrier that I bought last year. It is very simple but effective as it can be taken off without any fuss and it holds a reasonable amount for a day out. As with other Altura products the quality is excellent. I would certainly recommned it to others."

Perfect for what I wanted
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"I bought this because I needed something a little more than a saddle bag for the Bristol/Bath Action 100 ride to London. I hate backpacks when riding and a pannier was just not an option.
This held everyting I needed without even using the expansion option: raincoat, change of bib-shorts & top, repair kit, tools, lock, innertube, energy bars & gels, spare gloves, phone, wallet etc.
Fitting kit is simple & easy to use (literally 2 mins to fit) and the bag just clips on, no hassle, and is unobtrusive when riding.
Only thing is i'd like another mounting bracket for my other bike!
the only negative is i think it's maybe a little bit pricey, but that will be forgotten every time I think how briliant it is....."

Pros: Durable, Great Value
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"Very useful if do not have or do not want to use a rack. Fitting the seat post adaptor required removing the seat post but as this should only doing once this was not that much of a problem"

So far so very good
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
"Exactly what I was looking for: a sturdy, very good quality material whilst not being heavy. I have not been out when it has been raining, but in all other weather, the Altura Arran Expanding Post Pack has performed 100%. The clips are of equally very good quality and have not 'dropped' as I feared."

I've been using this for my daily commute for a few weeks now & rate it very highly. It's cheaper than many similar post mount bags & does the job well. Great to have features like expandability & the two side pockets for quick access to house keys, Haribos etc. Great when I get to work- 2 second clip-off. I expected everything in it to rattle over poor roads, but surprisingly, it doesn't.

First class purchase !
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"The fact that my purchase has been the forth in our cycling group in the last six months speaks for itself. This bag does everything you could ask for with respect to 'social' rides all year round.."

Perfect for a day's ride
Pros: Adjustable, High Quality
"A back-pack can get very hot and sticky, and if riding for more than a short time I find it gets quite unpleasant on a hot day. As an alternative this bag carries just enough for a day, including food, a (lightweight) jacket, tools and a spare inner tube. It is easy to fit, and is easy to remove when not needed leaving the mounting behind. I am well pleased.
I haven't tried it in the rain, so I don't know how waterproof the bag is"

Not bad but not great
Pros: Good Fit, Lightweight
Cons: not waterproof
"It fits everything in that i need and clips well onto the bike but it really could do with being waterproof. Water seaps in the zips and soaks anything pretty quick so just put anything you need to keep dry inside another bag."

Excellent for day trips
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight
"Smallish bag that attaches to seat post and is easily detached and carried around if you stop. Has a surprising capacity and is perfect for a day trip (or possibly overnight) to carry waterproofs, extra layers and/or food. Don't notice it at all when cycling. Would strongly recommend the product as it is enormously useful!"
