Expensive but worth it
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Expensive
"I'm by no means a heavy rider, but my bike isn't exactly light... I'm mostly useless downhill, but the weight of my bike makes me go faster then most people I ride with... So I need a disk which is capable of stopping me at the bottom!
At over £30, this is an expensive disk, but it's also made by Hope... Nuff said.
I don't know the technicalities of the 'floating' side to things, but as I understand it it's very clever stuff, so worth the money if you want a reliable, and goodlooking disk that'll perform ride after ride.
Now to get decent brake pads....

Quality rotor
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
"A quality floating rotor that once fitted offered and increase in stopping power over the existing rotors. The rotors developed play between the arms and the rotor (at the rivets) this is noticeable mostly at rest, creating a similar rocking sensation to poorly adjusted headset bearing play, but not however a hindrance to performance. Great colour options, came supplied with torx screws. an excellent replacement. Matched up to hayes callipers"

"Don't you just love Hope stuff. Another classic example of beautifully engineered gear made in the UK - Rule Britannia - not only looks good but stopping power is superb."

Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit
"I installed this rotor and thought whether technology to brake improved.
There becomes scarcely a sound when I use this rotor. Even if I force it and brake it, reaction improves. Therefore, I got possible to ride a bycycle in peace.

"I needed a new front disc for my new hope Hoops, so thought I'd grab a floating jobbie from Hope.
So far it been perfect and gives me confidence on my local descents(South Downs), hopefully it'll work as well when I take it to Wales and Scotland soon.

It's a Rotor
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I used to use non-floating roters and since i have started using the floting ones, the only difrence is that they dont bend as easy, but i have not seen any performance increase.
They do look a lot better that the standered ones and then make a great pinging noise when yo get to the bottom of a big downhill :)
I use them on my Mono Mini M4's and they work great"

Go on, treat yourself!!
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"As with all hope products there are cheaper products that do the same job, but none match the quality, longetivity, and shear bling factor.
As you would expect the quality is awesome, they are much lighter than a similar sized standard disc, and won't warp like a standard steel disc when things get hot.
I have them fitted to hope pro2 hubs and Formula oro calipers with marzochci forks, and they work perfectly with no compatibilty issues."

Looks good, works well
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged
"same as any other disc to fit, the joint circles where the outer ring joins to the hub are a littrle bit proud, so it takes a little fiddling to get your callipers in a good position where they dont chink off the circles when rotating, but other than that works wonders, great stopping power, no heat problems so far, looks good as well"

Braketastic rotors from Hope
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"The nice thing about these is that its much more difficult to bend or warp a rotor especially the larger sizes. The aluminium spider keeps everything strong but allows for an element of heat disipation so your rotor does not warp. Also looks great in various colours although it is easy to get carried away. A little pricey but should last ages and gives your bike that individual look. Also made in the UK and Hope customer service is fantastic so you cant go wrong."

performance stopping
Pros: Rugged, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Unattractive
"solidly made with accurate run-out straight from the box
fit & alignment of floating fixings of highest standard .
only concern is being machined they appear to surface rust very easily and although no detriment to performance they dont look very good
first time out riding ..

nice 203 mm disc
Pros: Attractive, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive, Poor Fit
"Good solid stuff, as you would aspect from hope,
only one problem, they are much thicker than 160 discs, so they don't work with centerlock adapters!
wish i knew before i ordered

Nice upgrade
Pros: Attractive, Good Fit, High Quality
Cons: rivet clearance
"This disc was bought as an upgrade to my original Hayes 160mm rotor and it was the best thing I could have done for my front brake. It has increased braking power no end.
The disc does have one downside, the rivets. Due to the high tolerances on many calipers there may not be enough clearance on your caliper so you may need to check with the caliper manufacturer as to whether this rotor will be suitable. I had to file a very small area of my caliper to fit the rotor correctly but it was worth it.
The price was suprisingly fair for a product from Hope.
From first fitting it the braking power was slightly increased and as the rotor has bedded in the braking power has just got better.
The main reasons for buying this rotor was that the original disc had a slight warp in it and intermitently squeeked, and to increase braking performance.
I'll be buying the same disc to replace my rear Hayes rotor soon."

Crunk Lookin'
Pros: Attractive, High Quality
Cons: specific to certain breaks setups
"Bought this rotor for the looks, it came on time and as specified with no distortion to the shape. Unfortunately it didn't quite fit my brake setup - the floating system was a little wide and clipped the break calliper as the wheel span - but I managed to bodge it on anyhow by sanding about 1mm or so off the corner of the calliper.
In a nutshell probably best to only buy this if you have a hope break system and really need the stopping power of a 203 rotor, but it does look the nuts."
