Ritchey Torque Key

Properly install your Ritchey carbon bars and stem without fear of over-torquing. This Torque Key uses a M4 bit and is pre-set to 5Nm (maximum recommended torque for Ritchey carbon bars and WCS stems).

Awesome
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
Cons: Unadjustable
"This little guy is great!
I take my bike away a lot on planes and this is just what i need for the carbon bars and stem. Just click and forget! Perfect!
I only wich the hex ket size could be changed like drill sets etc.
PS: Headsets need more than 5Nm.

Not bad...for the price
"I guess this is quite cheap so as the old saying goes...you get what you pay for.
This does only come with one allen option, so can only use for some things, not others. Ritchey would vastly improve this product if they soorted this issue. Secondly, i cannot see how this really gauges torque. There was no obvious 'click' to tell me when i had reached the optimum torque & found it was just like using any other allen tool.
Waste of money if you ask me."

Perfect
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, fit for purpose
"I bought this instead of the far more expensive torque wrenches.
At first I thought it was broke, but I just wasn't turning it hard enough.
The reason I've given this 5 stars is because it is excellent value for money and it fulfils its intended purpose.
Bear in mind it's a Key not a Wrench, so it only has one setting - which is all I needed for my bike."

Ritchey Torque Key
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight
"This is an awesome bit of kit! I saw my bike mechanic use one and asked him what it was, he swears by it. Why spend $100's on a torque wrench when you can have one for under $20. The only points on a carbon bike that need delicate torquing are the seatpost, stem, and bars, especially if you have carbon bars. This little thing does the lot with ease. Buy it!
Get some torque paste too..."

Cockpit Adjustments
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Unadjustable
"Got a new bike recently and I have been trying out different 'cocpit' settings. Higher/lower bars etc, etc.
The Ritchey 5Nm torque wrench has made this a doddle. No need to remember how much I undid a bolt every time I tighten them up.
In my opinion this makes the wrench an important part of any tool kit.
It would be even better if you could change the M4 bit."

Very Useful
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
"Very useful fits most stems and seat posts with the supplied bit I have tried it on and tightens to 5nm. It's lightweight so is an option when travelling abroad. No more cracking carbon bars for me."

Very useful for carbon frames
Pros: Great Value
"I was terrified of tightening anything on my carbon Scott CR1 for fear of cracking the thing - but that's all gone now! It turns out that 5Nm is almost as tight as I was going for anyway but it's a real peace of mind to know you're not going to damage the carbon.
Essential kit in my book"

Essential kit for carbon bike
Pros: Durable, Comfortable
"I purchased this when I upgraded my forks to ones with a full carbon steerer. The feel when the torque setting is reached is unmistakeable. I have found myself using it more and more on the bike, as its size, and the fact that other sizes of hex bit can be inserted (4mm comes with it) mean that I can perform most assembling and dismantling with one tool. The knurled extension at the top of the handle allows for swift turning of a bolt until resistance is felt, and the ergonomic grip fits easily and comfortably in the fingers/hand. My only gripe: the supplied hex bit was initially tight in the barrel, but is now loose, and the bits can and do fall out. A magnetised barrel would have gained the fifth star for this review, but it is still a worthwhile bit of kit for budding cycle mechanics."

great little tool
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Not Enough Features
"i bought this to help in the fitting of my carbon bars... its very limited in that you cannot replace the hex bolt but for the money what do you want! i have since invested in a very good torque wrench and therefore making this little tool obselete.. in fairness to it thou its a quality made product and can get you out of a jam if you cant get your hands on a wrech!"

Quite possibly a life saver.
Pros: Great Value, does exactly what it says on the tin!
"Very useful bit of kit.
I've got a carbon steerer and handlebar and no access to an expensive torque wrench, nor the inclination to pay £50-£100 for one if I don't need it.
As I was concerned about over tightening bolts and having a catastrophic failure of a few hundred quids worth of kit and the quite likely epic fail of my face speed dating the road, I'd say this was essential!Very useful bit of kit."
